Ah the reassuring crunch of a failed regulator and my window is jammed… *#$€! this is gonna be expensive. Hmm having googled how much a VAG oem was going to cost (about 1/3 of the cost of my aging A3) I decided to give this a go with the intention of fitting it myself - several YouTubes later I bottled it and gave it to the mechanic! He reported it fitted ‘easily’ (you’ll need to remove the door card and lift out the window frame) but wasn’t quite the quality of the original but it’ll outlast the rest of the car (harsh but fair). Anyway it goes up and down at a fraction of the cost, a little squeaky at first but a little lube on the guides and job done. Quick delivery and faultless service
