Expertly cut using our durable Derby Tweed. Expertly crafted in the U.K. with our 20 years experience developing tweed garments. We are confident the Leighton Trousers will fulfil the demands of any stylish and active outdoorsman. Our Tweed is twill woven. Twill is a type of textile weave with the yarns packed very closely together, making it thick and tightly woven - resulting in a durable fabric which can withstand wear and tear. This type of weaving can be made in a multi-tone pattern, which has diagonal parallel ribs. The tweed is spun yarn, making it softer and less prone to snagging. We have also treated the tweed with a Teflon fabric protector. This works like a protective barrier around each fibre of the fabric to help fend off water, dirt and stains - all while not affecting the fabric's weight, look, feel, colour, or breathability. Available in Light Sage and Dark Sage, these trousers are a perfect companion for nights out in the town or days out in the field. Designed with a classic and regular fit, the Leighton Trousers work great as part of a full Derby Tweed ensemble. Our formal set, including the Windsor Blazer and Alcott Waistcoat, will grant a rugged yet sophisticated look. I've been promising myself these trousers all winter but the recent cold snap convinced me; so glad I finally bought them. Size 40/31fit me perfectly. Although I was quite prepared for them to be a little coarse and "scratchy" (they are tweed after all) but not a bit of it, I was amazed to find that they are fully lined with a light, smooth cotton lining. There is no mention of lining in the product description - there should be - it's a strong selling point.As expected they are warm; so much warmer than moleskins or corduroy which are only cotton, whereas these are 60% wool which makes all the difference. The wool /polyester mixed fabric is very hard wearing and although a little coarser than 100% wool they are only half the price.Delighted with my purchase. Thank you. I'll be back for another pair very soon.

Material too coarse. Not really suitable for trousers. Size had little allowance... If you want these I would suggest you buy a size larger than your usual

I started off by purchasing the dark sage tweed jacket and i was very impressed,with the fit and overall quality, so three weeks later i bought the matching waist coat, again really pleased with that also, and now i have these brilliant matching tweed trousers, I am the proud owner of a fantastic and a quality tweed suit for just a little over £300 quid .therefor i would highly recommend these trousers and all items in this range.
