Worst purchase ever, every single strap I tightened snapped right off before I could finish securing it to the tire. Do not buy.

Picture it, January 21st, 2025. South Central Alabama. A couple of weeks ago, we began getting weather warnings about the potential for winter weather. I drive a rear-wheel drive 2 wheel drive truck and I learned a lot from the Great Icing of 2018 so I decided I needed to be a smart person and order fire chains. (I'm a nurse, if the weather event happens during my rotation then I am required to report to the hospital.) I couldn't justify spending $100 for snow chains when this kind of weather happens maybe once every 7 years....actually less than that. I found this exact product and thought that it would be sufficient. I woke up and strapped these suckers to the back tires of my truck. I traveled down a mile long dirt road and the rest of my 3.6 mile commute was in asphalt. I drove about 20 miles per hour. No hard breaking. Didn't run over any debris. To my surprise when I got out of my truck I discovered ALLLLLLLL of the straps GONE. I have no idea where they went. I didn't lose traction BUT I can't tell you if it's because of the straps or because years of driving on muddy dirt roads actually taught me something.Moral of the story is, save up and buy snow chains in the off season. I MIGHT order another set to keep in the toolbox just in case I get stuck in the mud or sand. If that ever happens I will post another review if how they work in sand or mud but as far as snow....that's going to be a no.Positives, they are easy to install.
