This tape performs well overall, but we're docking one star due to misleading wording in the product listing. It refers to itself as "Canvas Repair Tape," which led us, and at least a few others, to believe the tape was made of canvas and designed for patching canvas items like canvas tents and other covers.~~~~~~~~🔴 Important Clarification:This is not canvas. What arrived was more like a roll of flexible hybrid of synthetic material that was the size of a roll of heavy-duty plastic wrap or tinfoil. Anyway, it may be intended for use on canvas but it is not a fabric-based tape itself.~~~~~~~~~🟢 Performance Highlights:• Strong adhesive – It sticks really well and hasn’t peeled.• Flexible with stretch – There's a little give, so it works well on pliable surfaces like our faux-leather ottoman without cracking or detaching when pressure is applied.• Multi-surface application – We have had success using it to patch up our barbecue cover and ottoman so far.~~~~~~~~~↪️ SUMMARY:We are still early in its lifespan so durability over time remains to be seen. However, the initial results are promising. It's great. I have a vest with a canvas shell but it's got 'security' patches on the front and back. Since I don't want to be mistaken for a cop or something I decided to cover up the patch rather than remove it because the patch is made of a strong material that can be helpful as an added layer of security. I first covered it with black duct tape, which looked absolutely horrible so I got this canvas repair patch and I'm really happy with the result.The canvas looks identical in pattern and color to my vest so it blends in seamlessly. Gluing anything to material doesn't inspire any kind of confidence since material typically isn't great for adhesives but this one is actually staying on wondefully. I've had it on there for about 2 weeks now and it's holding up great, though I haven't had an occasion to wear the vest since then. If it's rubbing on a sweater or jacket then I wonder if it'll gradually peel off the patch over time but so far it's holding strong and really as better than I thought it would be.From the same company I also got a leather repair patch and used it to coat a couple of arm wrestling table pads for the elbows and it looks really damn good and is holding up to the abuse perfectly. So I don't know if it's just this company but both these repair patches are great and it does what I wanted it to without any complaints. The plastic sticker thing on the back is easy to peel off and the glue is strong. It also doesn't leave any residue behind when you peel it off so it keeps original thing you're covering in good condition without leaving behind future problems. Excellent product.

I ordered this for my daughter's doll tent that keeps ripping where the tent poles go through it. We have tried many different tapes (duct tape, gorilla tape) but they all come lose after a short while of her playing. As a last resort I ordered this, and success!!It holds the holes shut and provides a thick patch to prevent the pointy little tent poles from poking through again, my daughter is thrilled. Next, I used it to patch some tears in my beach tent (for humans, not dolls) and it held well.This is a great item to have around the house for general repairs, especially if you are a camper. I think it would also work well to patch a worn back pack, I'm tempted to try it on my trampoline, it's that strong.

My 10 yr old recliner has seen better days. The quality is good, but the faux leather is cracking and ripping from wear and tear. The temporary fix has been to sit on a blanket. This canvas repair kit is my permeant fix. The entire process literally took less than 10 minutes. The repair tape instructions are straight forward and on the box. 1. Cut 2. Clean surface 3. Peel off paper 4. Apply.The canvas has a somewhat rough texture. It will not be like new, and the canvas isn't matching the texture of the faux leather. However, the adhesive is strong and seems like it will last. A word of caution - take your time applying the canvas, keeping it wrinkle free. I remove half the protective paper, applied the patch, then removed the rest of the paper to apply completely. Compared to the cost of a new recliner, fixing my favorite recliner worked for me.

Nice material to work with. Easy to cut to desired shape and size. I like that it’s available in 20 different colours as well.I found that the glue is very tacky and sticks well. Works well outdoors as well because the tape material has a waterproof layer.I ordered this patch material for a few different purposes: we have a bbq cover that has a small tear, and patio furniture covers with some worn corners. Rather than having to replace my covers I’ve decided just to patch them. Product works great and stays glued down.It comes with lots of material and it easy to store any unused tape for future repairs! Would be excellent for patching convertible tops too! I used it for outdoor covers but I’m thinking it has a lot of ideal uses: boat canopy repair, clothing patches, umbrella repair, patio furniture cover repair, luggage repair, backpack repair, etc. I found it easy to use! I also like the fact that it’s not iron on and just sticks! All my covers are polyester and nylon blend and you can’t iron on a patch - I’m either sewing or using this self-adhesive tape….this is much easier and faster to repair….and it still offers being water-proof! I higher recommend if you have items to be repaired. Much better than having to repurchase all new covers!
