Don’t bother wasting your money. Lasted 2 months and had to rip out before it caused a hazard.

Delivered promptly, excellent value for money & supplied with full installation kit including cotton gloves! Purchased to replace a thirty year unrepairable dead Eberspacher unit on my boat. Now installed & working. I utilised existing mounting plate, warm air trunking, filtered fuel supply & piping, 12 volt fused supply & hull mounted exhaust outlet. This work well within capabilities of a DIY person. My observations:1)Installation & operating instructions virtually non existent. However there is a wealth of videos on You Tube covering all aspects.2)Remote control failed to work. Via Amazon I contacted supplier Sangel who apologised for no battery - 12v type 23A required. Now works perfectly3)Soft fuel pipe in kit best replaced with hard version to prevent kinking/damage etc4)Fuel pump must be installed with 30 degree upward slope5)12v supply cable a bit lightweight - I utilised existing heavy duty cable. A hefty current draw when glow plug operating6)LCD switch/display with this unit has no clock but no big deal7)Shortly after installation error code E01 - oil pump open - came up. I found a severed wire within the loom, ie not damaged in installation. A temporary repair restored normal working. Contacted Sangel who are sending me a new loom - an easy plug in replacement. After several weeks of regular use on my boat I am now happy to report the unit is providing a reliable & effective service.Compared with the old Eberspacher the fan is quieter but the pump maybe a tad louder. However the ‘tick’ is not intrusive & provides welcome confirmation of normal operation.I am sure the glow plug uses less current, judging by ammeter needle deflection, & fuel consumption is negligible - supplied by main diesel tank. The controller does a good job with various bits of info available & I am now normally using the very handy remote control. To connect up to the existing hot air trunking I fitted a 75-60mm reducing collar to the outlet. All in all a very satisfactory & recommended purchase.

The item arrived well packed with everything needed cost around £88ish.My van eberspatcher, think that's how you spell it, started playing up and the main repairer in our area just said l need a new one after 5 mins on a laptop. Anyway long story short it was going to cost £650 plus fitting labour and vat. He refused point blank to fit a Chinese oneSo l took the bull by the horns got a friend who is mechanical minded watched a host of you tube videos, and it was a doddle to swap the old to the new. Well almost, the old one was diesel fed from the vehicle fuel system, but as the heater was under the water area, but accessable, l decided to install the supplied fuel tank and to use red diesel to run the heater.Once installed on first very cold day, every thing lit up but no heat and no fire up of the main boiler only got cold air and eventually shut down.So back to you tube.... Hey there is that much good advice to be found there on these heaters l recommend you watch a few before your installation.Next day after watching a video swapped the thin plastic bendy fuel line, for a smaller bore white hard plastic one from Amazon. When we took the old supplied one off there were air bubbles everywhere in the tube No wonder the heater wouldn't fire upPairing the remote explained on you tube. Oh yes make sure you put a battery in the remote and don't loose the miniscule screw to close it. We spent ages trying to pair without a battery, as there are several types of the heater controls and all have different buttons to push. We got there in the end and it's so simpleMy van is an ex ambulance convet camper van. This Chinese heater is a copy of the eberspatcher, most of the connectors fit the van No drilling into the floor, as everything just slotted into the area the old one had come fromWe disconnected the van fuel line from the heater and now run from its old tank on red diesel. It now fires up every time and blasts out loads of heat. One last this you must get the angle of the pump right or you will get airlocks. Can hardly hear the ticking of my pump. It's new but build quality to me looks not much different. But for the money between the two it's a no-brainer for me
