As someone who's recently started getting back into fishing, I was looking for an affordable and versatile fly assortment to help me get more practice on the water. This 100-piece set seemed like a great way to build up my collection without breaking the bank. The variety of flies included in this set is solid. With 100 flies in 20 different colors and both wet and dry options. Flies definitely catch the eye, and they do a good job imitating various bugs, which is essential for getting those bites. I've mostly been targeting trout, but I appreciate that these flies are versatile enough to use for bass, salmon, and even pike. The flies seem well-made, especially for the price. As a beginner, I’m still getting the hang of things, but I’ve noticed these flies hold up well after a few trips, which is encouraging. The fly box is decent, plastic hardbody with no latch, but has magnets to keep it closed and it does. No rubber gasket around the edges so it will take on water, but wont retain it either. Foam pads makes it easy to keep everything organized and ready to go.

I've only been fly fishing for a little bit, but I do enjoy it and these flies seem to hold their own against the more expensive ones I've seen. Lots of people prefer to tie their own flies, but I am nowhere near that skill level yet, so these work very well and look very good quality. I'm excited to use them more as the fall comes in and the weather cools down a little, my area is very hot and fish are much less active in the summertime here. I would highly recommend these, especially for newbies!

It's my first time trying a spinning fly rig, and surprisingly I got a bite on a second cast.I no expert in fly fishing, but for me it's a great value for the money.Green - floats on a surfaceClear - slowly sinks.
