Il display OLED da 2.42 pollici, dotato di distanziali posteriori in ottone per il fissaggio, offre una buona leggibilità di simboli grafici e testo grazie alle sue generose dimensioni, risultando decisamente più leggibile rispetto ai modelli più piccoli da 0.96 pollici, pur mantenendo una risoluzione limitata a 128 x 64 pixel. Basato sul driver SSD1309, sfrutta la tecnologia OLED a emissione di luce propria (in questo caso verde) eliminando la necessità di retroilluminazione. La versatilità è garantita dalla possibilità di scegliere tra i protocolli di comunicazione SPI e I2C tramite un apposito interruttore, dall'alimentazione flessibile tra 3.3 e 5 volt e dal basso consumo energetico. La compatibilità con schede come Arduino, STM32, ESP e Raspberry, unita agli esempi forniti dal produttore per la gestione di testo e grafica, ne semplifica l'integrazione. Lo utilizzo con un controller ESP32 e l'interfaccia I2C, che richiede solo quattro fili del cavo molex in dotazione, sfruttando l'ambiente di sviluppo Arduino IDE.

Das Display funktioniert, aber der Einstieg war nicht ganz so einfach. Ein Dokumentation oder weiteres Infos fehlen. Es gibt aber genug Informationen im Internet, mit denen man das Display schließlich zum Laufen bringen kann. Funktioniert am RaspPi, ESP32, Arduino etc. Hinten ist ein kleiner Schalter zum Umschalten zwischen SPI oder I2C Kommunikation. Ein Pin-Header Verbindungskabel ist immerhin dabei, sodass man direkt loslegen kann.Die Helligkeit und Lesbarkeit sind gut, typisch OLED Display; die Auflösung ist etwas mikrig für die Display-Größe, aber aus ein bisschen Abstand ist das dann nicht mehr schlimm. Kommt also auf den Einsatzzweck an.

The lines on the screen are bright and clear, making them easy to read. Hooking it up to an RPI wasn't terribly difficult. It's a nice piece of kit to get if you want to occasionally grab simple readouts from a piece of equipment but don't want to devote an entire monitor to it or remote in.

Il fornitore non da dettagl io informazioni sul collegamento, ma se cercate SSD1309 troverete una miriade di siti che danno schemi e istruzioni con esempi.4 stelle per la scarsa documentazione e disponibilità nel fornirla, buono il prezzo

got mine working fine using the i2c protocol on an arduino uno r4 wifi. i used the adafruit SSD1306 library even though this screen says it uses the SSD1309 IC. i couldn't find a SSD1309 library that works so just use the 1306.It works on 5v only and not on 3.3v.Good screen!

I wanted to like this as you can switch betweeb i2c and spi with just a switch on the back. I should have been able to switch it to i2c and have the i2c scanner program see it and my rtc module. That did not happen and in fact this display prevented the rtc module from being detected. It also looks like it needs a special library instead of u8g2. It did come with instructions unlike most of the others, but still it should not be this difficult to get to work or I received a defective one. In any case I am returning it.
