Got these to help with a very heavy lid on wooden storage box. They are strong. Only needed one! When I put both on it would open on its own!

Check your mounting positions for the brackets. They are relatively fixed and I had to mount them backwards in my RV storage compartment. But otherwise a huge step up from my former 50#'ers.
