My niece wanted a “cool” alarm clock for Christmas and this one has it all- music, white noise and lights!

This gadget lights up the room and creates such a fun vibe. It's multi use alarm/clock/white noise machine proves that a tiny little thing can pack such a punch! It is the perfect addition to any bedroom, for any age. I appreciate the many different choices for white noise and adorable little smily face. The Star projector is my favorite feature, and adds a wonder ambiance to my night time routine.

This is quite fun as a novelty alarm clock, and would be a suitable gift for kids aged about 7-13. The light display is quite good – with a number of variations to play with. There are 20 background sound themes to choose from (jungle sounds, rainstorm, waves on the beach, etc.), and the device even functions as a Bluetooth speaker, so you can play your own music whilst watching the light show. HOWEVER, it costs just under £70, which makes it a very expensive toy/gift; and for this price I feel it has a number of shortcomings:• Its primary purpose is as an alarm clock, which means it needs to be plugged into a power source. Yes, it is rechargeable but that just allows you to take it somewhere else to play with for a few hours. It comes with a USB cable but you are supposed to provide your own USB plug to connect it to the mains. For this price I expect it to come with its own power source.• No batteries are provided for the remote control, which is just stingy.• There is an annoying smiley face on the clock display, which can’t be turned off.• The remote control includes buttons to change the clock setting. Why? There are buttons on the clock itself to do this, and once set you shouldn’t need to do it again any time soon – except that when using the remote it is easy to press the wrong button and mess up the time setting
