Die Schnellwechselplatte ist Ersatz für Manfrotto 501PL. Kompatibel mit Manfrotto Köpfen, die das RC5 Schnellwechselsystem verwenden (501, 503 und 701 NG Köpfe). After ordering and returning 2 other plates, finally found one plate that fits my Manfrotto HDV 501 (2013). Not as perfect as the original (on the smaller size), but does the job well anyway.

I just bought a Manfrotto MK290LTA3-V tripod which comes with a BeFree fluid head for video.The original "new style" plate has the loose bit of plastic instead a sprung locking pin, a 1/4" screw and a 3/8" adapter. I find it is quite a loose fit it the head and even with the locking screw as tight as I dare there seems to be a little twisting movement on the plate, and the plate moves a little mounted in the head.I needed a spare plate but was reluctant to fork out £27 for an original so took a punt on this plate. It is based on the design of the "old style" Manfrotto plate, and all the better for it.The finish is much cleaner and the overall size is identical, though the profile of the edges is a little less chunky. It seems to fit more securely in the head with no movement, and has a larger properly sprung metal locating pin, which stops the camera moving on the plate.It comes with separate 1/4" & 3/8" screws and a rubber bung to stop screws falling out. The 3/8" is not needed and I had to remove it to allow the plate to fit which gives the risk of losing the 1/4" screw in the unlikely event the rubber bung falls out (it is pretty tight fitting and you would need to be unlucky to knock it out).The only minor niggle is the screw heads are a bit smaller, and not nurled, and so you do need a coin or small screwdriver as you get no purchase with fingers.Overall I am really impressed by the quality of this plate at half the price of the original. It is better made, better finished, better fit and with fewer parts to lose. Going to buy another for my other kit and keep the Manfrotto plate in a plastic bag, with all its loose bits, as a spare.Recommended.
