It is a good solid bag I use every day at work. Few changes I would make if I was designing it: a few smaller pockets on the outside or even on the inside as opposed to one big compartment with a small zippered pocket on the outside. Second, removable backpack straps. It's not the type of bag I would ever carry on my back, especially with what I need it for, but maybe some would. Regardless, the straps should be removable. Third, a shoulder strap. I bought a separate strap and rigged it up, but a shoulder strap would be very handy. The bag itself though so far seems to serve me well.

Tough, spacious, and very comfortable to carry. Have used it for a patrol bag, long trips, and even hiking.

Viel Platz für alles was man so braucht und nicht braucht... Robust wie immer bei 5.11, nicht günstig aber sehr gut.

I've been using various 5.11 bags for over 10 years, some of which I've used for international travel, and all have always held up very well thus far. They all feel solid and durable, the zippers are great, they are not too heavy, and they look great. My expectations were met with this new bag. I've read reviews where some people complain that the backpack straps are sewn into the bag, and while I agree that it would have been a nice feature if they'd be entirely removable, I don't think they get in the way as they are. I think they actually look nice on the bag when they are not in use. So, for me that's not an issue at all. If you're looking for a bag that will last you for many years, 5.11 is definitely one of the brands you want to go with.

After a long search, this bag is by far the best duffel bag I have found. I have read a few complaints such as the duffel bag not having a lot of compartments or pockets, but if you're looking for a bag with multiple compartments and pockets, then you should be looking for something other than a duffel bag. Even so, you can attach any additional pockets and cases that you're heart desires because its covered in MOLE loops. The bag is very roomy and I have managed to keep quite a lot inside. The two mesh pockets on the lid are just minor additions which is useful for a wallet or things of that nature. I've also read complaints about the bag not being stiff enough to maintain its own shape without being full, but again, this is a duffel bag..... duffel bags are not intended to be stiff like a suit case. The only complaint that holds any water is that despite the great side handles and backpack straps, there is no shoulder strap making it very awkward to carry for any distance if youre already wearing a daypack or bookbag. That is kind of an oversight/flaw however I simply bought this strap on amazon a couple days later and attached it right on.
