This stuff wasn't exactly what i was looking for, but wow! The different tapes out there are pretty wild. I'm gonna just gonna order all of them little by little and get myself acquainted. As for this one, has some thick (I'm guessing insulating), dense polymer type of glue. Can make a mess if misused for improper applications, I'd bet

Great adhesive properties to surfaces. This is pretty versatile and sticks to about any surface. I have been using these to stabilize the creases on my foam board stands. It has been able to minimize the creases on my foam board and helps to make it stand straight. I think this would also be an essential item to have in the house, since it can stick to so many different types of surfaces, including metal, glass, wood, concrete, and more, making it a versatile solution. If you are DIYer and need adhesive, this could be the answer.

I'm using this tape for HVAC joints, i.e. takeoffs to trunk. It works very well there, on clean degreased metal. Compared to other tapes, this is NOT super sticky. It is good enough for HVAC, but I would not use this for its advertised use of RV roof leaks or any kind of permanent fix for a water leak. I tried applying to clean metal, only slightly moistened, and there was no useful grab, so I really can't recommend this for anything water adjacent.

Last year, I used this product in the narrower version. Here, the tape is 4 inches wide, the previous one was only two inches. After years of owning an RV and dealing with roof issues I can appreciate having the two options.Like all similar (Butyl tapes), including those targeted specifically for RV roof sealing, this stuff is great. It can be used in a number of different applications, wet or dry, and stay put for years. I've used similar products in the past on things like downspouts, leaky eves, dryer exhaust vent tubing, metal shed roofs, and at least a dozen other instances where using silicone or any other tape just wouldn't have worked. In each case, I had to pull the stuff off. With this, it never peeled on its own. The only way to determine if this will function the same is to test it over time, and the last roll has worked out great.Like virtually all adhesives, the surface should be as clean and dry as possible before applying it. That said, I have used other similar products on some pretty rough surfaces where there was rust and have not had the tape peel.► Long ago, I discovered that the surface does not need to be completely clean, but it helps. Dust is ok if it's not thick, but larger particles such as sand or tree material can cause it to not seal properly across the width.► Water can, in some cases, be pushed out from underneath it if a roller or palm of the hand is used to apply pressure and push it to the sides, but this can be hit or miss, I found out.► The above works well on removing air bubbles as long as this is done BEFORE the whole length of tape is pressed down. Again, due to how well the stuff sticks, it can be hit and miss.👀 There is one important thing that needs mentioning. Do NOT allow this tape to fold back on itself. It is so sticky that there is absolutely no way to pull it apart. Once it folds in on itself, it's wasted. The idea is to only unroll as little as possible and literally roll it out as you apply it.🚩 Unrolling and then cutting off a length also produces another problem, which can escalate to the fold-back issue. This stuff sticks to hands, gloves, tools, pants, and jackets. You name it - this will stick to it. Once it's applied, it is impossible to pull it off without making it useless. There is no way to reuse it once this happens.Cutting it is best done with a sharp snap-blade knife; scissors get stuck to it, which then leads to the above-mentioned scenarios. At the current price for the 4-inch x 16-foot roll (as I write this review, the cost is $20.99), it's a very good deal.TitleSo many uses for this stuff
