Zur Aeropress gibt es nicht viel zu sagen. Es liegt alles bei, was man für einen guten Kaffee braucht.Soll der Kaffee noch besser schmecken, dann braucht man noch eine Kaffeemühle um den Kaffee frisch zu mahlen.Eine Feinwaage mit Zeitmessung, um Kaffee- und Wassermenge, sowie die Brühdauer zu bestimmen.Einen Heißwasserbereiter mit Temperaturvorwahl.Sowie einen guten Kaffee von der Privatrösterei deines Vertrauens.Rezepte gibt es viele im Internet.Meine Rezept für eine Tasse Kaffee:13g Kaffee, mittelfein gemahlen (etwa wie Salzkörner)Wassertemperatur 94°CAeropress reverse (auf den Presskolben gestellt)Kaffee einfüllen50g Wasser für 20 sec. fürs blumig aufgießenauffüllen auf 200g, kurz umrühren und bis 1min. ziehen lassen.Filter aufschrauben, umgedreht auf die Tasse aufsetzen und in 20sec. durchpressen.Voilà, super leckerer Kaffee!

Es lohnt sich (immer) guten Kaffee dafür zu nehmen. Hab erst mal ein bisschen geforscht, wie man damit Kaffee macht. Ich stell die Aeropress gern auf den Kopf, mach 15 g Kaffee rein, gieße heißes Wasser drauf (ca. 87°), rühre kurz um, Filter drauf und 2 Minuten warten. Dann pressen und genießen.

Nachdem ich normalen Filterkaffee, CHEMEX-Filterkaffee, die FrenchPress und teuren Vollautomatenkaffee aus jahrelanger Erfahrung kenne und natürlich auch türkischen Mokka, Bialetti, Nespresso und Siebträgerkaffee unzählige Male probiert habe, bin ich bei der AeroPress hängen geblieben.Natürlich ist eine Siebträgermaschine für mich immer das Maß aller Dinge, allerdings nehmen die Dinger ordentlich Platz weg, man hat sie im Urlaub nicht dabei und muss einen Haufen Geld zur Anschaffung investieren. Das wesentliche Kernelement eines Siebträgersystems ist die Inhaltsstoffextraktion mit Überdruck. Nur so lassen sich gewisse Aromastoffe aus dem Kaffeepulver lösen und das macht eben auch den Unterschied zu den anderen Zubereitungsarten aus.Genau diese Druckextraktion ermöglicht die AeroPress per Handdruck - also ohne dazu Elektrizität zu erfordern. Das Gerät ist zudem kostengünstig, extrem kompakt und kann daher im Rucksack mitgeführt werden.Auch die Reinigung ist sehr einfach per Hand in der Spüle zu bewerkstelligen - wenn man warmes/heißes Wasser direkt nach dem Gebrauch einsetzt, wird auch keinerlei Spülmittel benötigt. Das schont die Umwelt und den Geldbeutel. Die aus inertem, weichmacherfreiem Polypropylen bestehenden Einzelteile können nach meiner Erfahrung aber auch problemlos in der Spülmaschine gereinigt werden.Für mich die ideale Lösung - vor allem in Kombination mit einem ordentlichen Milchaufschäumer. Und ich würde mal behaupten, dass kein Vollautomat an die Qualität eines solchen Kaffees rankommt.

A nicely made double walled cup with a decent lid. The AeroPress mech and all parts stow inside for travel. Spare filters are fitted in the base so you always have some with you. It all fits together well and works well. A nicely thought out product. You pay more than the basic versions but it’s so much better. The only criticism is the limited range of colours.

Schön klein zu verstauen. Kaffee kann mit dem von zuhause mithalten :-). Eine wasserdichte Dose für die Filterpapiere wäre nett (Punktabzug) - so kann man nur wenige unter der Gummihaube unterbringen. Im Campingurlaub daher zu wenig.

Let me start by saying I'm not a coffee snob, but I have a friend who is. We both really enjoy the coffee that comes from the Aeropress GO. It's easy to use, as portable as can be, comes with a ton of filters and everything else you need for the perfect cup of coffee. If you don't have the space for a whole machine, this'll be the brewer for your bean!

Ich habe mir die Aeropress Go auf Empfehlung von Freunden zu einer maximal simplen aber guten Reisekaffezubereiter zugelegt. Die Handhabung ist denkbar einfach, sowohl im original vorgesehenen als auch im invertierten Modus. Man findet dazu ohne Probleme dutzende Youtube-Videos. Die Aeropress kommt dabei mit Kaffee aller Mahlgrade, von Espresso bis zur French Press super zurecht und ist annähernd Idiotensicher zu bedienen.Die Qualität des Kaffees, den die Aeropress Go liefert, ist beeindruckend. Dank des innovativen Brühverfahrens und der mitgelieferten Papierfilter erzielt man einen vollmundigen und aromatischen Kaffee, der mit dem Geschmack von frisch gebrühtem Kaffee aus einer herkömmlichen Kaffeemaschine mithalten kann.Ein weiterer Pluspunkt der Aeropress Go ist ihre einfache Reinigung. Alle Teile lassen sich problemlos auseinandernehmen und sind spülmaschinenfest. Das ist besonders praktisch, wenn man unterwegs ist und keine Zeit oder Möglichkeit hat, die Maschine gründlich von Hand zu reinigen.Ein kleiner Nachteil der Aeropress Go ist jedoch ihre begrenzte Kapazität. Mit einer Füllung kann man nur eine halbe Tasse Kaffee zubereiten - jedenfalls wenn man die heute üblichen Tassen ansieht. Allerdings kann man mit mehr Kaffemehl ein ordentliches Konzentrat erzeugen, dass sich dann mit etwas mehr Wasser hinterher strecken lässt - man nennt das auch Bypass.Alles in allem ist die Aeropress Go eine großartige Wahl für Kaffeeliebhaber, die viel unterwegs sind und nicht auf ihren Kaffeegenuss verzichten möchten. Mit ihrer kompakten Größe, der einfachen Bedienung und der hervorragenden Kaffeequalität ist sie definitiv eine Investition wert.

Invented for a single cup of coffee - this coffee maker has quite a following and even world championship contests. After getting "into" coffee (yes, I've been drinking and enjoying coffee for years but never really "into" it) my wife wanted an espresso machine and down the coffee rabbit hole I went. Normally, I may brew 4-8 cups of coffee in our automatic drip coffee maker - sometimes it would be only me that drank any that morning and we'd waste half a pot regularly. With coffee bean prices going up and having access to a decent grinder I looked at other ways to make my morning "grog". Now I'm just a beginner at the AeroPress (only a few short weeks) but I've YET to make a bad cup of coffee with it. Even if you factor in "beginner's luck" or closely following directions/recipes found on YouTube (weighing coffee and water, checking temperature, applying the correct amount of pressure) which I'm not - I still seem to get great coffee time and time again. I'm no barista, in fact, until about a month ago I don't think I could have spelled barista - that doesn't mean I haven't been able to appreciate good coffee - I've had very good coffee here in the US in nice Italian restaurants and great Italian espresso in Italy (though it's been a few years). The AeroPress is not going to make (likely) the best cup of coffee you've ever had but I'm willing to bet it will not make the worst either (even if you've gone "rogue" and completely ignored any AeroPress recipe or technique).Before I explain why I think the Travel AeroPress is "best" AeroPress let me share what my experience is with the directions that come along with the coffee maker (regardless of model). Other's will likely agree and it's almost a theme for reviews or how-to videos that you should only read the directions that come with the AeroPress on the way to trash can / recycle bin where they should be deposited. Some may claim that these instructions are just plain wrong - others claim that they're ambiguous but could be followed with some success. When I attempted to follow the directions I made good coffee but just not what most of us would consider to be a "cup" (five or six ounces or more) of coffee. I won't go into detail about how I make mine today since there's hundreds if not thousands of videos on social media that are great in showing how to make a single, double or even three cups at a time - the inventor has presentations on making a cup and talks about some of the history and evolution of the device - worth watching for sure.So why do I think the Travel AeroPress is "best" AeroPress? Well for a few reasons. First if you plan to "take it with you" either to work, school (college/university) it's designed to be contained in one items - technically you do not need a cup or mug but unless you plan to brew "inverted" you may need something to pour your water into (hint the inner cylinder / plunger holds what I think is a perfect amount of water if you're using volume not weight measurements) freeing up the cup to make the coffee in the non-"inverted" way. If you're not traveling or bringing your AeroPress with you to work/school etc. I still think the Travel AeroPress is the way to go simply because it stores away in itself - the non-travel version really doesn't take up a lot of space but if your kitchen is like mine parts and accessories get lost and if I can keep things together there's far less of a chance I'll loose things. All put together the coffee maker is about the size of one of those extra large mugs that typically says "World's Greatest Dad" or "I'm not a crazy cat lady". I also find the cup to be very handy in pouring hot water (to wet the filter paper - if you're in to that) along with a place to wash/rinse the AeroPress itself if you are away from a sink - the edges of the included cup make pouring work compared to the normal round edges of a "normal cup or mug" - no tendency to spill down the front and make additional mess. The stir is a nice design and again it stores away inside the plunger along with the scoop. The filter paper container is also nice - even if you make a few cups a day you'll likely not have to re-stock the travel container very often (maybe on the weekend check to see if you're getting low).So I do not believe you can go "wrong" with any AeroPress models - the thing works great - if the "regular" model was 1/2 the price I'd probably have to "opt" for that but the difference in price between the two models is only a few dollars and for me at least I think the compact, store inside itself design is worth it."Size Note" - the original AeroPress is a tad bit larger (the cylinder is taller so more volume) - making a larger cup (or two smaller ones) in one press might be the deciding factor.Enjoy your coffee!

After trying almost all coffee preparation methods, such as turkish, moka, v60, immersion, and of course, espresso (years of learning and practice), I've come to the conclusion that the Aeropress is the most simple and quick way to make delicious coffee. Moreover, you don't need to have extensive experience or special skills. You'll be able to find the most suitable recipe for yourself much sooner compared to other methods. And there's a wide range of experimentation possibilities. I absolutely recommend it to everyone!
