Product consists of two lengths of 3 segments each which fold over each other. Installation is simple, but questionable in functionality. There are 2 Velcro strips 1 inch wide running the length of the 3 connected pads. The strips are peel and stick adhesive for attachment to the wall. The Velcro attaches to the boards in the usual fashion. The benefit is you can remove the pads and reposition later, since the Velcro will attach to any area of the pad backing. It is easier to attach the adhesive side to the wall first, then position the pads and press them into the Velcro. I suggest you press the adhesive tape firmly for 30 seconds and perhaps wait an hour before pushing the boards onto the exposed Velcro. Further repositioning does not damage the wall. The greatest concern is the attachment of the adhesive Velcro strip to the wall. Another concern is the weight of your additions to the boards. Even if the adhesive works, you have to hope you don't exceed the capacity of the Velcro lock to the boards. The pads do have a clean sharp look about them, professional. Since they are connected there is less risk of misalignment. If your wall and the adhesive strips are secure, product does seem to be a good value. You can always rig up additional support like mounting tape, etc., if you aren't worried about loosing the ability of pad relocation or wall damage. I was concerned about the metal dart penetrating the 3/8 inch pad width. I purchased a second different type to place under, or even over this one if you prefer. Peel and stick tiles where the sticky part is the entire tile back. But I don't expect the adhesive to last more than a couple of years. Maybe at that time a few screws will do the job.

In our family, we are avid dart players, but let's face it, the aim isn't always perfect. These protectors have saved my walls from countless stray darts. The coverage area is fantastic. The extended length provides ample protection, not just directly around the board, but also for those wilder throws that tend to go a bit further. I feel much more confident playing now, knowing that my walls are safe.

My son likes to decorate the walls when we play darts, so I wanted to get this to try. When peeling off the backing to the adhesive, the adhesive strip would move a little so I had to hold it down while peeling back. The adhesive side that goes on the felt is almost like a velcro texture to help stick to the felt, its honestly not the strongest, but once I put the set on the wall and firmly pressed it, I'm hoping it stuck together a little better. I'll give it a go for a bit and see how well it holds up before I purchase another pair to expand each side more.

So my husband, son and I have been playing darts in our den for about 4 months now without a backboard. Were going to be renovating, so the whole time we've been like, "Meh, it's okay, well just putty over the holes, paint, and it'll be good as new!" NOPE.Apparently we underestimated just how bad my son and I would be at hitting the dart board.... oops...😬.And also we didn't take into account that, yes, when a dart goes in drywall, it makes a hole...but when you pull the dart back out, or it falls out, the drywall and paper that holds it together go with it....😬.Needless to say, there's probably gonna be a trip to the local home improvement store in our future. But in the meantime, and once the wall is as good as new, no darts should get past these barriers! The felt is way thicker than I was expecting. And I like how they fold up if you need to store them! They come with some Velcro already attached, but I think we're going to change it out for some stronger stuff. The only issue I have with it is that I wish it came with three sections, that way it would have an even amount of "buffer zone" on all sides of the board for those of us who have trouble hitting the board, lol.

I recently put up a dartboard in our rec room that uses plastic tip darts, and while the setup was fun, the thud every time a dart hit the board was surprisingly loud—especially when they missed and hit the wall. I picked up this dartboard wall protector to help with both the noise and to give a little insurance for those stray throws (looking at you, honey). This felt backing made an immediate difference. It deadens the sound really well, so it’s not echoing through the house anymore, and it also gives solid padding in case a dart hits the wall. My wife’s still getting the hang of things, so this has saved us from snapped tips and wall repairs.Installation was a breeze—no tools, just peel and stick. It stays put and looks clean and finished behind the dartboard. Bonus: it actually makes the whole dart setup look a bit sharper and more "official."If you’ve got a dartboard—especially one with plastic tips—this is an easy upgrade that saves your walls, keeps things quieter, and adds a polished look to your game area.
