Ordered these alpinestars boots to replace well worn Sidi Vertigo.The boots were delivered clearly worn, in a smashed box without an outer shipping box. Boots had significant scratches on the heels and shift pad. Both soles even had dirt and gravel stuck in the tread. After contacting Amazon via online form and phone, they offered only a $20 statement credit. So I returned them and bought something else from a local motorcycle store.I wanted something with a bit more flash, but these were just too large all around to work with my riding and clothing style. I wear tapered armored race-style pants 90% of the time and boot cut work jeans 10% of time around town. The top plastic of these boots is much larger than any other similar motorcycle boots I’ve tried. With my Sidis, even basic blue jeans fit over the top of the boots. Not a single pair of pants I own fit over these A* boots. They’d be amazing for track days or spirited riding. I kept these boots until the last possible few days for a return as I tried to find a new Sidi to replace them. I would have probably kept them and dealt with always wearing them over my pants if Amazon had offered even 20%-$50 credit.
