Unsure how accurate the results were, but this was fairly easy to use. As long as you read the results close to when it says, you should get an accurate reading. I was using it to test for a high amount of mold (which can create formaldehyde), and we had a slight yellow tinge to the solution. We didn't have any other tests to compare, but overall seemed to do what it said.

I was suspecting that I had some old padding underneath the carpet that was putting off gases and making people in the house sick. So in the process of trying to figure out what it is, I purchased this test kit to rule out formaldehyde thankfully, it appears that it’s within safe levels, but barely. The test seems to be fairly accurate as compared to a digital test that I did earlier, so I will start looking elsewhere for the problem in my house.

The test is fairly straight forward and the included instructions are good enough for the average joe. Uncertain of how accurate this test is, but it did confirm the presence of HCHO where I expected there to be some. Unfortunately, this kit took almost 4 months to arrive, with the seller attempting to cancel the order 2 or 3 times.

I have gotten a few of these various air/mold test kits but as always, what’s difficult to know, is how accurate are the results? The kit was easy to use and get results from, but I always feel like I am taking the manufacturer’s word for it on the results without getting a handful of test and getting consistent results.
