Easy to use, so glad I bought it for field archery practice the slope/angle calculator is amazing . Never owned one before its so small and easy to read A1,

These range finders can be quite expensive, and this is an inexpensive alternative. There is a focus adjustment which adjusts both the focus of the display and the image of what you are looking at - ideally these would be separately adjusted (one for your eyesight - dioptre correction and another to keep the thing you are looking at in focus), but given the price it is fine. I have only tested the distance measuring, not the features related to angle or speed. It says 1000yds, and I have measured up to 800m with it, so it pretty much does what is says on the tin. It uses a laser, so clearly that needs to have something to reflect off of, but even at that range, I have taken ranges off timber buildings. So on the whole a good device. Also, if you go around estimating distance by eye and then measuring it with this, you soon learn that you tend to over-estimate near things and under-estimate distant things - so you can use this to help tune your own ability to estimate range by eye

This is a very handy sized rangefinder, its about the same size as a small pair of binoculars so easily fits into a jacket pocket. It does come with a canvas case with a belt loop, but I expect that (much like small binoculars) this is the type of device you will take when out for a walk in the country or similar. Its remarkable just how fascinating the distance away from you things is when you have a method of measuring that distance.In use the range finder could hardly be more simple, simply look through the eyepiece, push the on button and the gunsight and readings appear on whatever you have the crosshairs pointed at. Readings are in yards or meters with the horizontal angle shown in degrees.There are various modes that are actually quite useful: range mode is the standard single measurement, scan mode allows you to go from point to point, speed mode lets you measure how fst something is moving (doesnt work on trees) and hunting mode does some kind of calculation which I have no idea about as I don't hunt.Build quality is good - slightly plasticy but not too bad as a lot of the body is clad in grippy rubbery material. The magnification is pretty good and the image through the eyepiece is nice and clear. Accessories wise it comes with a battery (not rechargeable), the canvas case, a wrist strap and a lens cloth. Price wise its not a particularly inexpensive item, but insofar as rangefinders go it is at the cheaper end of the market so given that it does perform very well (price point wise). So, this range finder is pretty good- no, it isnt the most accurate device in the world - precision costs a lot more than this but if you are after a basic (ish) rangefinder I reckon this one will be hard to beat.
