I recently acquired the OPUTTRIVER BT-866A Digitales Anemometer with high hopes of accurately measuring airflow in cubic meters per second (m³/s) and cubic feet per second (ft³/s). However, my experience with this device has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.Right from the start, it became evident that the readings provided by the anemometer were grossly inaccurate. The m³/s readings were off by such a significant margin that even converting them to m³/h resulted in absurdly unrealistic results. For instance, a reading of 9.7 m³/s would translate into a mind-boggling value when converted to m³/h, making it clear that something was seriously wrong with the device's calculations.Attempting to salvage the accuracy of the measurements, I also tried working with ft³/s readings by dividing them by 100, as indicated by the device. To my dismay, this adjustment did little to rectify the situation. The ft³/s readings remained substantially off, leaving me perplexed and increasingly frustrated with the product's lack of reliability.The user manual provided little assistance in addressing these accuracy concerns. It merely offered the same information as displayed on the device, with conversions and adjustments that seemed arbitrary at best. Upon further analysis, it became apparent that the OPUTTRIVER BT-866A Digitales Anemometer suffered from a glaring problem with its scaling and calibration. It is evident that the device's calculations are fundamentally flawed, resulting in readings that are far from accurate and consistent.Given the extent of inaccuracies, inconsistent readings, and calibration issues I encountered, I strongly advise against purchasing the OPUTTRIVER BT-866A Digitales Anemometer. Its lack of reliability and the frustration it brings far outweigh any potential benefits it might offer. I believe that the device's subpar performance is indicative of poor manufacturing and insufficient quality control. In conclusion, this product falls short of its promises and fails to deliver accurate and trustworthy measurements – a major letdown for anyone seeking dependable anemometry solutions.

I can't say anything more that it does not start (change 2 set's of fresh batteries).I see other reviews are good so will try my luck again with the same brand. Maybe just got unlucky with this one.Looks nice :).

...aber zu mehr auch nicht. Die Angaben in der Produktbeschreibung stimmen, deshalb werden wir es auch nicht zurücksenden. Die Bedienung ist sehr unpraktisch was aber zum Teil auch an der Bauart liegt - dafür kann dann das Gerät nichts. Arbeiten funktioniert nur mit Blickrichtung gegen den Luftstrom da sonst das Display bzw. die Bedienknöpfe somit auch die Holdtaste nicht sichtbar sind. Displaybeleuchtung lässt sich nicht permanent einstellen und schaltet nach 15sec aus; wieder einschalten erfolgt nur "hakelig" so dass die Messreihe wiederholt werden muss. Die USB Schnittstelle ist vorhanden, lässt sich aber unter Windows 7 oder Windows 8 nicht aktivieren. -Das Gerät geht in den Werkzeugschrank und nach der nächsten Inventur in den Besitz der Enkeltochter.

Overall the construction seems solid and the fan is very sensitive. Wasn't able to check the accuracy. Usb function works.Negative point I have is the fact that it is advertised to do AVG, but the specific model I bought doesn't do AVG.

The wind velocity measuring seems very sensitive but the room temperature is about 6’c out. A room at 23c is shown as 17’c. I can’t trust the other values

The temperature and relative humidity are spot on like someone actually cared that digital still needs accuracy added to inherenet A/D precision to make an instrument useful for comparison and analysis. Beyond the hype is near silent thermals for 280W TDP averages. Thermodynamic flow rates at lowest annoying whine noise (not a Sony Vaio laptop for example) frequencies are indeed very important for home & office computation where thermal limiting to 34% is a an Intel marketing move of the past. Forget about static pressure and RPM, when thermal limiting, air flow rates, area, dBA, power consumption, delta T, durability and cost are all you really need to be concerned about in making better informed HVAC and computer equipment purchase and configuration decisions. Inefficiencies due to fan & radiator design, for use in home and office, now requires comfortable acoustic thermodynamic performance, which is far from "max" this and "max" that. Efficiency & performance matters but so does comfort for long use. And this needs be as far from the inhospitable "server" world data sheets of 12V 7A screaming meemies as possible. There is always a better way to escape marketing hype for effective home & office workstation cooling and this Anemometer is a great start for human beings who need speed efficiency thermal performance and most importantly low acoustic radiation in minimal time over a long work day.
