カーテンボックスに取り付けるには以下の点で障害がある。本体が大きいためカーテンボックスに干渉する。取り付け金具部分が太いためカーテンボックスの中のカーテンレールに取り付けるのに困難が伴い、なんとか取り付けてもカーテンの取り付け金具が入らない。無理やりつけても壁と干渉しているので途中で停止してルート設定できない。センサーが壁を向いており窓からの外光を感知できない。現状では機能を十分に発揮するにはカーテンレールを裸で窓の上ギリギリで取り付けている場合に限られる。

The idea behind the solution is perfect but it did not deliver the outcome. The solution is not strong enough to pull the weight limit stated in the box.

Sooo… it took me about a month to motorize my curtains. First I tried using a SwitchBot curtain motor, but it absolutely wouldn’t cooperate with my existing (6mm shallow, metal) curtain rails. It kept sticking to either the internal walls of the rail, or rubbing against the edge of the rail channel itself, making a horrible noise.Then I decided to give this Aqara curtain motor a try. In the meantime I also replaced my curtain rail with a deeper, wider, wooden one and I replaced my curtain gliders with curtain rollers (with actual little wheels) inside the rail channel. So when it arrived, I mounted the Aqara curtain motor to this new rail.Pluses: It works.Minuses: It could easily be sooo much better.First of all, even with everything running perfectly smoothly, it’s too loud. It feels needlessly loud. My idea was to have HomeKit automatically open the curtains about 30 minutes before my alarm goes off, but the sound of the motor starting catapulted me out of bed with a racing heart each morning.Then I remembered that it also comes with a “slow opening” mode to emulate a sunrise. This thing has two major minuses of its own: First, I can’t set the opening speed to “slow” inside the Aqara app and then have the curtain open slowly when operating it from HomeKit. It can only be opened slowly as a “scene” inside the Aqara app, and only triggered from there. But the MUCH BIGGER problem is, in this slow mode, it doesn’t actually open slowly and quietly! It opens in a hundred one-second bursts, so the motor goes to full volume every couple of seconds for one second. It’s just as loud and even more annoying!If Aqara would let me set the opening speed to “slow” for certain times of day inside their app, and then actually have the motor work steadily, slowly and quietly while working in “slow” mode, I would give this product 5 stars. As it is, it barely gets 3. I’m really really hoping for a future update where Aqara gets it right. They’re so close in a way.

Ein super Produkt. Allerdings muss ich direkt anmerken, dass sie nicht zu gebrauchen sind wenn man mehrere Schienen zusammenfügen möchte um auf die gewünschte Länge zu kommen. Jede Unebenheiten sind störend und auch die falschen Rollen sind leider kontraproduktiv.Mit der entsprechenden Schiene und den richtigen Rollen läuft der Motor aber super, man hört ihn nicht wirklich und er hat viele hilfreiche Features. Auch der Akku hält lange genug.

Tun was sie tun sollen. Die 5 Sterne sind eigentlich 4,5 weil die Einrichtung minimal einfacher sein könnte, aber wenn es läuft, läuft es. Die Einbindung in Homekit ist perfekt, Automationen laufen ohne Fehl und Tadel. Auf, zu, auf, zu, es ist magisch ;)

Hatte befürchtet das es bei meiner Schiene nicht funktionieren würde.Aber es funktioniert und zwar besser als gedacht.Er bewegt eigentlich zwei Vorhänge, ein großes Balkonfenster mit einer breite von 3 Metern,mit zwei Vorhängen (schwerer Stoff) die eine Höhe von 2,50 Meter haben. Die sind eigentlicheinzeln zu schieben bzw. ziehen. Aber habe diese aneinander gehängt, weil man sie von linksnach rechts zuziehen muss.Und das schafft er, man hört wie er dabei ordentlich Kraft aufbringt, aber die gewünschte Positionzum schließen und öffnen findet er und macht es hervorragend.Ist halt nur die Frage ob der Akku wirklich lange hält. Aber wenn ich ihn selbst alle drei Monateaufladen müsste wäre das okay. Apropos Akku, ich mußte etwas schmunzeln wegen des sehr kurzenLadekabels. Hab mir sofort ein langes von 5 Metern bestellt, somit kann der Motor hängen bleibenund wird dann geladen wenn es soweit ist.Die Installation ist dank der Aqara App sehr einfach und man wird Schritt für Schritt durch geleitet.Bedient wird der Vorhang über Alexa, Google Home und Apple Homekit und auch über Home Assistantwird er sofort gefunden. Dort läßt sich auch sofort sehen wie voll der Akku noch ist.Alles in allem bin ich voll zufrieden und hoffe der Motor und Akku hält lange.Update: Der Akku hält sehr lange! Habe ihn erst einmal nach 6 Monaten aufgeladen und selbst da hatte der Akku lt. App noch über 30 Prozent. Alle Achtung! Der Vorhang wird bei mir min. 2x täglich geöffnet und geschlossen. Am Wochenende oder im Urlaub häufiger.

I’m using two of the Smart Curtain Motor (Rod) in two rooms in my house.Set up and updated through Aqara app and then integrated with HomeKit without issue. One of them throws the occasional “no response in HomeKit” which I think is related to Zigbee signal strength. Generally speaking the connectivity, reliability, and operation has been seamless.They *do* make noise during operation, but it’s not super intrusive in my opinion. Perhaps not suitable for light sleepers if you plan on using them in a bedroom.I use them with daily automations and Siri commands without fail. As usual, another solid HomeKit product from Aqara.
