This took a little bit longer to install than the 3 minutes it claims in the listing... But it was fairly straightforward. This section cut mount for the screen, I tried mounting it on the windshield, and it fell down twice and then the third time I put it up it has stayed up since then. Once the screen is mounted on a surface, it does have quite a bit of adjustability on angle and direction, because it can be adjusted at several points. The screen itself is removable from the stand pretty easily, so it has the potential to be more portable and versatile.On the back of the screen there are three buttons in a row, one for power and two for adjusting the brightness of the screen. It is very easy to use these buttons and hit the right button right rear, once you remember the order of the buttons.The camera and the screen work the same way as a rear view mirror, reversing the image. This took a little bit of getting used to.The angle of viewing is quite wide, if I put the camera in the middle between the two front seats and pointed at the back seats I would be able to see all three back seats, but I wouldn't see the windows, so with bigger kids, if they are leaning on the windows then I wouldn't be able to see all of them.The night vision is very handy and does work quite well, and it's nice that the night vision automatically turns on, so I don't have to push a button it just does it all on its own. And it's so seamless that I couldn't even tell the difference at first and I had to look closely to know when the night vision was on and when the color was on. That being said, during the day when the color is on the colors tend to look a washed out compared to real life and the screen does look rather grainy in my opinion - I wouldn't call it high definition. I tried to take pictures of what something looks like in real life compared to the screen, and my phone camera gave everything a blue hue - so that:s from my phone camera, not the backseat camera. The butterfly toy was in strong sunlight, and the colours look the same to me, but when I had it pointed at my kids in the back on a cloudy day, the colours were more faded.Overall, the camera is pretty easy to install and use, and the plug in the cigarette lighter lights up when the camera has power, so it's easy to tell if the camera has power to it. I wouldn't rely on this to provide clear details on the screen, but it does provide a wide range of view and a clear general picture, and is so fast with transferring data that it really does just feel like I'm looking into a rear view mirror, and not an electronic screen hooked up to a camera. I know it's sold for use in cars, but if it came with a wall plug, I would use this in the house, too.

Man steckt den Monitor in das Verbindungskabel zur Kamera, befestigt beide so im Auto, dass man den Sprössling im Auge hat, ohne den Kopf gross drehen zu müssen, steckt dann die Stromversorgung in einen 12V-Anschluss, und kann dann per Druckknopf direkt am 12V-Anschluss alles ein- und ausschalten. Die Kabel muss man etwas in irgendwelche Ritzen drücken, aber davon hat es im Auto ja genug.Farbwiedergabe und Verzerrung lassen klar zu Wünschen über, aber für den Überblick über die Situation auf der hinteren Bank reicht es ohne Probleme. Die Bildübertragung ist schnell genug (30 FPS?), die Kamera reagiert in Tunnels schnell auf Helligkeitswechsel, und bislang funktioniert alles ohne Haker.5 Sterne. Jetzt kann ich ohne Kopfverrenker immer wieder kontrollieren, was hinten abgeht.

Die Installation der Kamera sowie die Befestigung des Display war schnell, einfach und dank farblichen Steckern auch ohne Probleme erledigt. Die Kabel waren auch lang genug um von Hinten nach Vorne zu gelangen, würde sogar noch weiter gehen. Die Sicht am Tage ist echt gut, in der Dämmerung geht sie noch und bei Nacht sieht man zwar das Baby, aber das war es dann eigentlich auch schon. SOmit nur bedingt zu gebrauchen, hinzu kommt ein Fehler wo mitten in der Fahrt die Verbindung einfach abbricht und man einen blauen Bildschirm sieht mit dem Hinweis "no connection". Grade das Blaue stört im Dunkeln imens und die Verbindung kam erst nach einem Neustart wieder. Da dies immer mal wieder aufkam, ist diese Kamera leider keine Empfehlung.

This camera and screen are really easy to set up. I was able to get it hooked up and displaying video within 10 minutes. The mounting hardware is pretty flexible and gives good options for where to install it in your car. I've opted to clip the screen to one of my vents (older vehicle). The camera has decent quality and works well for peeking at the backset or trunk without needing to crane around behind you. I'm tempted to see if I can connect a backup camera to the screen as a secondary retrofit.

Prior to obtaining this, I had the standard baby mirror in my car which allowed me to get a small glimpse of my niece whilst she was in the car and it did the job but it was sometimes inconvenient for me to turn around to check on her especially when I am driving and need to keep my eyes forward and on the road. This was a bit of a challenge to install for me by myself however I have a mechanic in my family who supported me in installing this. Without his support I think I would have struggled to install this by myself, I am autistic and struggle to follow instructions when they aren’t perfectly clear so this is likely why. Once it was set up it was really quick and easy to get up and get the picture on. I tried this out on a short trip down the motorway to see how effective it was. And I was impressed. The picture and camera quality of this is really good, much better than what I was expecting. I got a clear image of my niece on the screen that was fitted on my dashboard and this meant I was able to look and check on her whilst still not moving my head away from the road and it is much less distracting and overall much safer for me as I wasn’t constantly checking on her whilst driving. Each device I felt was secure to the car so it would not fall off or roll away and I like how discreet the camera is, it is much less off-putting as it is small and not too noticeable. I wish this product was more widely available as it is much better and much safer than car mirrors which can be super distracting if you have to constantly turn to check on the child in the back seats. I found this camera however less effective in the evening as it got darker, you could still see my niece it just was not as clear as it was during the day when it was light which was the only thing I found that I was slightly disappointed in. I think this is really great value for money considering it is a fairly new concept and now widely available. I think more parents and carers should be made aware of this product and how much better it is than a car mirrors.

Really happy with this purchase! It was easy to install, not too big and bulky so doesn’t distract from the road. I can safely see my baby as the camera has fairly decent quality. Night vision is good. Great purchase keeps my baby safe.

I love this baby car camera! As a parent, being able to see my baby while driving is so reassuring. The screen is clear, and I can easily check on my little one without having to turn around. Even at night, I can still see everything, which is a huge plus.
