Bought it because the neighbors dog was eating bark off the tree. So the dog needs to be protected from her wood munchies so we got this. It doesn’t hurt the tree. And now no more wood snacks - easy set up. Quality. Durability. Easy set up. No tools

If you don’t want to go the old school route of going to the hardware store, buying a roll of fencing mesh, and cutting your own cylinders to put around young trees, this product could be for you. Of course you’re going to pay a bit for convenience, maybe not too much given last time I priced fencing mesh, but you’re going to get pre-cut half rounds of black powder coated mesh, about 1” mesh, that you can configure as you like. Included are landscape stakes and cable ties to join the sections. And a pair of cheap cotton gloves, which you’ll need because the vertical pieces top and bottom of each section are rather sharp while the side ends are smooth. I like the black powder coating which isn’t common at hardware stores as far as I know and makes the mesh sort of vanish when installed. I love not wrestling with wire cutters to cut from a large roll. If you just need to protect a few small, young trees, this might be an option to consider.

I just planted a bunch of fruit trees, and it's essential to protect the trunks from rabbits and other small animals. If they can, they'll nibble the bark off, which will kill the tree. These are perfect. They're sturdy, and a good height. They were a breeze to install, and they should hold up no problem.

I didn't expect anything too great, but these cages are better than I expected. The wire mesh is actually pretty sturdy and these will help keep the deer off of my new plants, at least until they grow a little more. I might to put something on top as well. I think the $30 price is a bit high for what you get, but they will definitely do the job and are not of cheap quality. I guess I expected worse based on prior purchases of similar items, but I'm pleasantly surprised and happy with them!
