Honestly a massive upgrade over my other bot that was for the same purpose. I now have this one, as well as a skimmer. And I think that the combination is unbeatable. After they clean out your wallet, they'll clean the heck outta your pool. Relatively straight forward to use. Some decent updates to avoid getting stuck and aid with navigating more effectively. Good battery size/life. Decent app controls (as much as I'm not a fan of apps). I like robots, and am a big fan of robots and ai technologies. So gadgets like this are right up my alley. I like robots. I like clean pools. I like robots that clean pools. I like not cleaning pools myself. Robots good. Chores bad. Chores done by robots good. Pretty fun to watch it doing things that I don't want to do. But it's also great to know I don't have to sit there and stare at it for it to work. Time is invaluable, so if a couple of robots can save you a ton of time, I suppose it's up to you to decide what that's worth to you. It has dual connectivity with both WiFi and Bluetooth. The filter basket capacity is 3.7 litres. It comes with a three year warranty.So if you are familiar with robot vacuum cleaners, this is the same concept except that it is for your pool. The robot can be fully charged in about 4.5 hours. You can get up to 11 hours of surface cleaning or 5 hours of floor or wall cleaning on a single charge. This is a very impressive robot cleaner. Name on the box is The Beatbot AquaSense 2 Pro.I am currently unable to use it due to the pool being below the recommend operating temperature and fully iced over but I am extremely anxious to use it this year.So I unboxed the robot and then went through the quick setup guide to get it going. I installed the app and then connected to the robot. This robot can use both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz WiFi networks. I first used my 5Ghz network and the robot connected fine. I was then prompted for a firmware update and did that no problem. I later changed the robot to my 2.4Ghz network because that will get better reception at the bottom of my pool.I explored the app and it is very user friendly. I like that it appears to show where the robot cleans and the path it takes. I also charged it to 100% which did not take too long. It was 56% when I first connected it.I then did a compare of this robot to my Dolphin Encore I have been using for the last 5 years. I added some pictures comparing the two of them.This robot has an extra set of rollers which hopefully helps it clean better. The basket is also a lot bigger but lacks the ability to open from the bottom, which the Dolphin can do and helps me clean out the basket. I will have to see how well this basket cleans out this summer. It does have 2 baskets inside each other, which may help with filtering the dirt and trapping it.I love the fact that there are no wires and that it is app enabled. This one will be so much easier to use by just throwing it in and get it cleaning. The Dolphin I had to untangle the wire and that was such a pain.Next is to test the cleaning ability this pool season which I cannot wait for that day.So far I am very impressed with this robot.

This is part one of my review with initial impressions. My indoor pool is the perfect test environment but timing was bad and it's out of service for renovation at the moment...When first looking at the listing there was a lot of information missing including the model. After receiving the product and doing some research I quickly realized this was a prerelease listing for the new generation of pool robots from beatbot that they unveiled at CES. I received the aquasense 2 pro and what a machine it is! I imagine they will update this listing with much more information once they fully release.There is really no information available on this new generation other than they advertised an increased battery size from 10400 mah to 13400 mah. They also advertise the same 5 functions as Gen 1 so this generation should at minimum be the same as Gen 1 but I expect some improvements.Right from opening the box you get a premium feel. The quick start guide was printed on a huge piece of cardboard and is easy to see and understand. Even someone not very handy or tech savvy will have no problem getting up and running.The robot and accessories were nicely protected!The robot is definitely not light but the nice handle in the design of the body makes it easy to pick up and carry around. It is nicely balanced and not awkward.It slides right onto the charging stand and powers itself on to charge.Mine arrived with around 40% charge.The app is modern and easy to navigate. The instructions in the app to add the robot are easy and I was connected in no time! There was a firmware update available right away.Once my pool is done with renovation I will get this robot in the water and run it through it's paces!

Quick disclaimer here, I haven’t used this in a pool yet. I’ve tested it in a kiddy pool, but nothing as large as a pool yet. So with that in mind, I would definitely take some things with a grain of salt (at least until I edit the review when my pool is up and running).I do like the look of the robot though. It feels well made, and looks good. It’s pretty hefty, and I think the rollers are made well too. It moves around quite well and seems to work as great as I’d like. The two biggest features I like are the surface parking, as well as the filter, which is so easy to clean.Here’s what I like about this robot vacuum:-Cleans the floors of the pool pretty well-Cleans the surface of the water-Climbs the walls pretty well-Multiple different cleaning modes-Parks at the surface of the pool, rather than the floor of the pool-Parks automatically-Comes with a solution to clarify the water-The battery (seems to) last for quite a while.-filter is easy to remove-The filter is pretty large-Charges pretty quicklyHere’s what I don’t like about this pool vacuum:-Set up isn’t the best-App (with an account) is required-It’s insanely heavy-Can be pretty hard to get out of the pool-the buttons on the top aren’t really the nicestThe biggest thing I don’t like, is that you can’t use the robot without signing up. It just feels like they could make something a subscription, when you already paid $3000 for something. That really annoys me, as it feels like you can very easily be swept into something that wasn’t advertised.The second thing that I don’t like, is that to use the robot, you can’t have a WiFi password that’s above 16 characters. For whatever reason, it doesn’t let you put in a password that’s longer than that, which is a restriction I really don’t understand. All my router passwords are above 16 characters, so I have to have a network specifically for this robot to work.The only other thing I’d like to mention, is that the robot itself is insanely heavy. I have no idea how you’re supposed to lift this with a pole (there’s a good chance that you’re not supposed to), but I find it difficult to lift out of the water by myself.The opposite end of this though, is that you’re getting convenience for the cost. It has a lot of features, that make the robot convenient. Like making the water clearer, ease of cleaning, auto parking, what have you. I think that’s really what you’re paying for here. All the extra little features, that end up making it easier for you to maintain your pool.I would say at $3200, it’s definitely not the cheapest pool vacuum. Personally, I wouldn’t pay that much for a pool vacuum, however I think it is a good vacuum despite what I don’t like about it. I don’t think I would pay this much simply because I would just rather vacuum by hand than pay that much, but that’s just me. I would say if you find that price okay, and want the convenience then it’s made well, and I think it’s well thought out.
