Made of bamboo. Both plates are 9mm thick, not 16mm and 9mm as stated. It did come with 4 bolts and wingnuts and 8 washers.As for use.It will take A5 sized paper in the middle. The bolt holes are just too close to have A5 aligned along the edge (ie paper shown in picture must be smaller).You cannot tighten it much by using the wingnuts as the bolt just spins unless you use a spanner, there is nothing provided to hold the bolts so they can spin fall out etc. though it must be said that all makes of this style have this problem.When you lift it the bolts slide up and down, unless you fix them to the wood somehow.Have just used it for bookbinding and if like me you are starting out then it is a good value tool which you can use easily given the tightness/pressure caveats above.

This would be a good cheap small press, but it only comes with two screws rather than the four pictured. This means the press is uneven unless you buy a couple extra screws.Might be easier to get a couple extra screws than return. But certainly wouldn’t have bought if I’d have known.

Es más pequeño de lo que parece en el anuncio, es para hacer libretas pequeñas, con lo cual no sirve para encuadernar tamaño A4, como se puede ver en la foto que adjunto. Por otro lado, me ha llegado con 4 arandelas y solo 2 palomillas y 2 tornillos roscados en lugar de 4, con lo que si lo quiero utilizar, tengo que comprar en algún sitios lo que me falta.Una decepción.
