Bestop 7984617 Ersatz-Twill für OEM-Hardware – 2010–2018 Wrangler 2-Türer

Bought the black twill soft top for a 2016 jeep wrangler. The FIRST time I unzipped the back window the zipper busted and now I can't remove the window. Customer service keeps wanting to give me a new back window not understanding the zipper is busted on the flap and the window which means the whole top needs to be replaced. Been dealing with customer service since mid-July.Update:Customer service came through with a new top and back window. I'm going to give them a 4 star rating from a 1 star before, can't give a 5 star still not happy with the LARGE Bestop name on the back.

Just a tip for the next person. When you come to the final step of removing the original top, pay CLOSE attention to where the top lines up on the hardware. I took the last screw out and my old top just slid out. I had no idea where exactly to line the new one up, and the instructions for that made no sense to me, and I could not find a picture online that showed it. MIssing that cost me over an hour of time as I had to try 3 times before I got it right.Updating this after having this a couple of years. Very disappointed. The rear window is so hard to get on and off, espeically on, that it is not is not worth taking the top down. I took the oem top down all the time, so not an experience level. My daughter has the jeep at school and made the mistake of taking it down and could not get that back window back in. She took it to a dealer for help and it took 3 guys to get that zipper up. Vindicated that it wasn't me.Also as other have pointed out, the side windows are just imply too small. They are so tight that over time where it fits in the vertical groove in the front by the door, it simply just pulls out on it's own. Also as others have pointed out, the drivers side is much worse than the passenger. Very disappointed to spend $1100 on a soft top that you cannot use as expected. May as well have gotten a hard top instead as this is unusable as intended.

Well I’ll literally just keep this with the info that you will need to know. This was my first soft top replacement I’ve done since the 2013 new Mopar one I had so I decided with the recent Colorado hail and everything I’d get a new one and treat myself. The directions are kinda poopoo but the material! THE MATERIAL! I can’t help but look at it from wherever I am and tell everyone to feel it. It’s a very slick deep black look and helps with cooling down the interior big time!!!! It is a SUPER tight fit. The driver side window is the most challenging part but let it sit on there and let that fabric stretch for a few days to a week and give it another go. I would def buy this again!!!

July 2015: I have a 2010 Wrangler 2-door. I purchased this to replace the old top because a zipper on my old top broke. I contacted a few places to get quotes to replace the zipper (on both the top and the rear window), and much to my dismay, the cost was about the same as a new top. (I know that boat marine shops were expensive, but c'mon. This is a two hour job...$850 for ONE zipper???)...so I got this top instead.I'll break the review down into a couple sections. (Initial impressions, installation, and fit & finish). Initial impressions: The 'new, out of the box' impression is the construction of this top is exceptional. I will revise this review a few months down the road to provide an update once I've had it on the Jeep for a while. Installation: Overall, the instructions were OK. There were a couple steps that were confusing at first & could use more details. (For example, they did not include the step to disconnect the two tension cables; and when clamping the header back together - they say to use masking tape to help hold things together...yet masking tape wouldn't stick to the new fabric). As the other review stated, read the instructions. Re-read the instructions. Let them sit a day, then re-read prior to doing the install. I was disappointed that Bestop 'shorted' two of the four adhesive backed foam pads. We use this stuff at work - so replacing it isn't an issue. Just a disappointment. Fit & finish: Even though it was 85°F when I installed this, the fit was snug. Almost too snug. As in "Did I do something wrong?" snug. So, I took a break from it to fix dinner; by the time I returned, things had stretched enough that zipping in the windows was possible. The new, multi-layer fabric is a HUGE improvement over the OEM vinyl. I haven't driven it as yet -- but will include road nose and other thoughts with my review update.April 2018 Update: Overall material quality continues to impress. But I'd like to touch upon the 'snug' fitment. Over the years, this has caused me considerable headaches. The underlying problem I've come to realize is that the fitment of the driver's side window panel is not correct. The underlying reason: The zipper on the roof starts too far to the rear (or the zipper on the window starts too far to the front). For those who understand manufacturing: It is a case of tolerance stack up. The result is the driver's side window BestTop panel tries to pull out of the frame on the JK. I tried reaching out to BestTop a couple times, they put it off as improperly installed. Which is unfortunate. Quality materials assembled in a substandard manner results in an unhappy customer.

I have been looking at this top since Bestop 1st came out with it in 2013. I have a 2010 jeep wrangler 2 door and it had its OEM soft top that was kept in pretty good condition and might have gotten a few more years out it, But It was very noisy, and with the sever cold weather we have in North Dakota I have been waiting for the vinyl top to spit or tear cause of the cold.The Black Twill replacement top is superior in every aspect compared to the old OEM vinyl top. Bestop says it is easier to work with when it is severely cold and has a life time warranty. After putting this on I noticed on my 1st drive out how quiet it is, Its like having a hard top on, it is really that quiet. The twill fabric is easier to put up or fold down, It is made from 3 layers of material, outside is the black twill fabric, Middle layer is rubber for water proofing and sound quieting features, The inside is more black cloth type material and makes the insides of my jeep look like its finished now.When installing this READ the instructions from front to back several times. Instructions say to install this at temperatures above 72 degrees, I how ever I installed this in my garage and it was about 50 degrees, and I had very little problems installing this. If you take your time and do every step in the instructions just like it says you shouldn't have any problems. Once all installed and your putting in the windows if one becomes really tight zipping it up just take a break and come back to it after about an hour, It will zip right up and pretty easy.So if you have a jeep wrangler with a OEM or after market soft top, and it needs replacing, or you just want a new top. Get the Black Twill Replacement top, You will not be disappointed. In 2013 Jeep has this material as a upgrade option when you purchase one new. I really think this should be the only top to purchase as its more then obvious that this is far superior to any other top.Cons: NONEI really do think that those of you who switch from vinyl to twill fabric you will be very happy with this top.
