Control isn’t long enough and it’s at the head of the bed

Exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this unit. Now there is one minor thing, I wish the connectors were located to fit on the side of the mattress as I like to lay on the edge of the bed and my arm hits it, so I have to move inward on the bed. But, the heat settings are incredible

So, I’ve purchased two heated mattress pads in the past, but I never had the courage to use them since they weren’t made in the USA, and because I didn’t want to wake up with a burnt back (heaven forbid) — until Beurer’s UWB70 Heated Mattress Pad Queen, Dual Control Electric Mattress Cover with Separate Feet/Body Heat, Auto Shut Off, 9 Warming Levels, Overheat Protection, and Soft Quilted Fabric, 60" x 80". While this isn’t made in the USA either, but this is German engineering. I put my faith and trust in anything designed or assembled for Germany, as I’ve always believed in the quality of their products. They don’t mess around when it comes to safety, craftsmanship, and quality. Every single thing so far, that I’ve gotten from Germany are superior in quality and perfectly made down to the last details. That said, I immediately unpacked this mattress heat pad upon arrival and put it in the wash as I’m prone to allergic reactions to certain fabrics and chemicals. So just to be safe, since this is washable, I washed it right away in normal cycle, normal spin, and medium high heat. To my surprise, this came out from the washing machine and dryer, smelling clean and intact. I used it right away, that same night, and my oh my, I literally no longer wanna get out of bed each morning! 🤭 It is that comfortable! I was lucky enough to enjoy this while there are still some colder nights left in the year… I’m so happy to be able to say goodbye to wearing socks at night! Where has this been all my life? I cannot wait for summer time to turn down the AC and get under my comforter and warm heat pad, and sleep in total comfort and relaxation at night… 🤭😍As for the heat pad itself, this is definitely a luxurious and practical upgrade for cold nights. This also works great to relieve back pain symptoms. The dual control feature allows each side of the bed to have its own heat setting, which is a plus as not everyone wants to sleep on heated pad at all times. The separate feet/body heating zones add extra comfort and awesome to have, especially for me, being that I tend to have cold feet syndrome. This allows me to turn on the feet zone only and not necessarily the body portion for a warmer feet environment. With nine warming levels and an auto shut-off function, this heated bed pad offers customizable warmth and safety. The overheat protection gives me peace of mind, knowing that it will auto shut off once it gets to a certain temperature. Although, some may find the controls to take a little time to get used to. Other than that, this also fits my Queen size bed perfectly, easy to use, and easy to keep clean. My only complaint is the comfort level of the quilted fabric, which has wires built-in. With it alone underneath a bed sheet, it isn’t very comfortable to lay down in, as the wires digs into my back. Fortunately, we have a super soft with excellent back support quilted foam pillow top, which has about 1” or less thickness foam, and that did the trick as it’s thin enough for the heat to still penetrate.Overall, this is a high-quality, well-designed heated mattress pad, which is perfect for a warm and for a restful night sleep from a trusted brand, Beurer, from Germany. This heated mattress pad is really cozy. It heats up quickly compared to our old heated mattress pad. The heat is very even, and the adjustable zones are really nice, allowing you to adjust the temperature for the upper and lower portion. I’ve never needed to turn it up higher than level 3 and usually have it on the lowest setting 1 for my body and 2 for my feet. My favorite feature is the sleep timer that will turn the heater off after 1 to 9 hours in one hour increments. I don’t sleep well if it’s on all night so it’s ideal to turn it on for an hour and fall asleep without worrying about leaving it on.However, there is one major problem with the design of this heated mattress pad. The connector for the control units is right on the top of the mattress pad and it’s very obtrusive. I would give this heated mattress pad five stars but the placement of the connector is in such a terrible spot that I’m taking two stars away because whoever designed this mattress pad never once laid on it. Every time I get in or out of bed, and frequently when I turn over I am bumping into this hard plastic connector and it’s really uncomfortable if I lay on it accidentally. If you turn the pad around so the connector is at your feet you can’t reach the controls and the zones are reversed. I should probably give it two stars, but it functions so much better than our previous heated mattress pad, it’s just that his is totally in the wrong spot.

Well sewn and fit on the bed perfect. All features worked great and I loved that you can choose body or feet heating. Soft and comfortable to lay on.
