I think by now, most folks who are reasonably serious about cycling know about TPU tubes, but just in case, to re-cap, TPU tubes are lighter, take up a lot less room in your saddle bag, and often can hold air longer than standard butyl tubes. Some say they also offer less rolling resistance, but I don't know that I can say I notice that difference (though I do believe you might feel the difference in the rotating mass when spinning up your tires). But TPU tubes do come at a price--they're generally more expensive (though versions like these from RideNow are closing the gap) and often difficult to repair in the case of a puncture.I've been using TPU tubes for a couple years now and while I haven't yet used RideNow's version, I'm a total convert. Being able to carry 2-3 spares in the space of a single butyl tube is awesome. These tubes, with a 65mm stem, weighed in at 36 grams on my scale, including the valve cap (which, by the way, is machined from metal--aluminum, I think), so they're pretty darn light too. Each tube comes with a couple of self-stick patches. I've yet to patch any of my TPU tubes--the only leaks I've gotten so far (knock on wood!) are right where the valve is heat welded onto the tube, and those tubes weren't RideNow tubes (they were the blue ones). I've heard some folks say that it's difficult to patch TPU tubes, and you certainly can't use the typical glue and rubber patches you'd use on butyl tubes. I look at the self-adhesive patches included as more of a "keep me from getting stranded on my ride" kind of solution than a permanent one, but I'm sure I'll find out at some point in the future when I get a puncture.Unlike some of the earlier versions of TPU tubes, these tubes have a removable valve core (since they can go bad or get damaged) as well as a partial metal valve stem (but it's not a full metal stem because there apparently needs to be some plastic at the base of the stem for the TPU tube to be bonded/heat welded to).In short, while these aren't cheap tubes, at almost $12 per, they're a good bit less expensive than the brand name orange and yellow TPU tubes and they offer all of the benefits. In my eyes, these are perhaps the cheapest, quickest and easiest way to drop a decent chunk of weight from your bike. I'd rate these 4.5 stars only because they're still a bit pricey, even if cheaper than the likes of Pirelli and Tubolito.A word to the wise--don't be tempted to try to inflate these beyond a few PSI until they're fully inside the bike tire. Unlike butyl, these won't stretch, they'll just pop and you'll be bummed because the tire patches won't do you any good and you'll be out a still somewhat pricey tube. Inflate it just enough to give the tube its shape, insert into the tire and re-seat the tire before inflating further. You've been warned!

After using these Ridenow TPU tubes I can think of no reason whatsoever to ride on traditional butyl tubes again. I have been using Ridenow tubes for a while now. My only complaint was that the valves were plastic but this latest iteration solves that with removable metal valves. having used these for over 6000 miles I can say with confidence they flat a bit less often than their butyl counterparts. I've never had a pinch flat using these. The only flats I've had were from thorns or glass that would have caused the same outcome riding butyl. It's all upside from there. They are lighter by a long shot. You can store nearly 3 of these in the space of a single butyl tube. I have a very small back and can squeeze two of these, 2 co2 bottles, and my multitool. They hold air very well. I tend to check my tires before every ride but if I forget its not big deal. Given they don't cost much more than their butyl counterparts, I can't ever see myself going back.
Llego todo perfecto. Artículo muy lindo

I'm kind of old school so I've been slow to adapt to tubes like these. The verdict is still out for me, but so far they have been fine. I'm not sure they really "feel" any different, but perhaps a touch. Not enough to definitively say that I'm switching due to that. What I do like is that I've been carrying one as a spare due to them taking up less room and being lighter than the traditional tube.I had some problems with the valve stems on early editions of this type of tube but so far these have been fine.I do hope that the price continues to trend down so that we can get more riders using them and hopefully continue to evolve the technology. Time will tell if this is the next evolution of the traditional tube.

These tubes are both great value for money and a legitimately awesome product. I've tried several different brands of TPU tubes and there's a wide range of products on the market. I've had the best luck with the RideNow brand in terms of installing them without pinching or puncturing the (very thin) tube material. These are upgraded and now include a metal valve stem with a removable core. The metal core both looks better and also prevents the valve from snapping while inflating (I had that happen once with a plastic vale core.) Installation was a breeze and the tube is not leaking air.If you're coming from a older tube riding on these is fantastic. Something about the TPU tubes just makes it feel like you're more connected to the road. Because they're super small you can also fit two tubes in your storage at about the same size as one older tube.I highly recommend these tubes.
