After our Lab Buddy was neutered, our vet gave us this collar. We were happy that Buddy doesn’t have to wear a plastic cone.The night before we had an appointment at the vet to take the stitches out, Buddy was somehow able to lick his wound - despite the collar. Maybe it wasn’t tight enough. So the vet told us he has to wear the collar at least 3 more days and we mustn’t take it off during that time. As we wanted the wound to heal properly, we didn’t take the collar off. But then his neck started to smell. When we took off the collar it was wet and we saw that Buddy was bleeding. :( He really must have been in pain... Please, please, please guys. Take this thing off from time to time to let the skin breathe...The idea of this product isn’t that bad. But the implementation is.
