I recently bought a bunch of leotards and didn't check if it had a lining and that was a big mistake. This one is cotton and has a lining. You want to go up a size so for an average sized kid aged 10, size 12-14 would fit. After I washed and dried it, it fit very well so really depends on the size of the kid but my kid is on the average to slightly petite size.

This leotard was perfect for my daughter's summer dance course. Inexpensive compared to what the cost of the studio's leotard. Held up through several washes. This review is coming 6 weeks after purchase. No strings or fuzzy. Still snug. I will definitely by more if she wants to continue dancing.
