This filter was a perfect fit for my 2015 Mini Cooper S. More than anything, I was looking for a high quality filter that was re-usable, and didn't hurt my mileage. I drive 3-4 times more miles every year than the average person (60,000 - 80,000 miles), and to keep the turbos happy on my little mini, I like to clean or replace the air filter every 10,000 miles. This filter did give a small but noticeable performance gain in "sport" mode. If you drive hard all the time, it's likely the gas mileage will suffer some. I usually drive in "Mid" or "Green" mode, and typically average 38-39 mpg, with an occasional 40-42 mpg (depending on road conditions and ambient temperature. Overall quality is very good. I think it's slightly better than a K&N, but very similar.
