This product is Great !!! I was always having to keep a close eye on my 7 month old Rottweiler Canon when he had a bully stick so he didn’t swallow it. This holder is great now I don’t have to waste money throwing away half a bully stick because it was getting to small for him. Life saver and money saver!! Easy to use and locks the bully stick in tight !!

We’ve tried a few bulky stick holders after seeing our female Shiba quickly swallow a quarter of a bulky stick. We purchased the purple one for our 19lb Shiba and she does great with it. Our 35lb male Shiba just chews on the purple one so we purchase the green one for him.Both work well for their sizes. Not too heavy and they’ve yet to get the bulky stick out of the holder. Great product and gives piece of mind for their safety.We originally received the version 1 of the holders. It broke. The company volunteered to replace it with the version 2 after I ordered another one, so we have two now. Great customer service !

My pup is a 7yo terrier/beagle mix (~36lbs, medium size) and LOVES to chew. She’s very strong and is obessessed with bully sticks! She has torn apart most other bully stick holders with sheer torque force and aggressive chewing, due to her intense love of this treat. The BoniVet Bully Stick Holder is rising above all others, so far!Durable & Safe: The hard, smooth plastic material holds up to my dog’s relentless gnawing, and is thus far, impenetrable. No teeth marks, no punctures.Engaging: Because the holder is plastic (not rubber, etc), pup has to use her fine motor skills, paw-grasp strength, and strategic paw placement to keep the device steady enough (without slipping) for her to continue enjoying her bully stick. The challenge of steadying the holder combined with her desire to devour the stick keeps her mentally and physically stimulated. This satisfies her tenacious, curious, and energetic nature for quite a while!Effective: The stub of the bully stick remains in place, as advertised. I strongly tightened the locking device onto/into the bottom of the bully stick and pup was unable to dislodge it, despite her efforts, which is great! The remaining nub stays safely in the holder and is easily removed by simply untwisting the holder.Less Mess: Other stick holders require pup to handle the bully stick with her paws, which become wet, sticky, and smelly in the process. This holder’s design encourages paws to remain on the holder itself (not the stick) so paws are less messy after a long happy stick-chewing session.Really happy with this product thus far (recently purchased). Hope it lasts a long time!

There are many variations of Bully Stick (BS) holders, and I couldn't decide between four of them that are all pretty similar. So, I decided to buy all four and try them out. Full disclosure, my testing was done only with 7" BS's, which naturally vary in diameter. All four holders are pretty good, but there are some differences worth considering. This is how I ranked them.#1 (GoSports [Red] - 5 stars): The best of the bunch. Due to the narrow oval shape of the opening, it's very easy to load the BS and get it aligned with the clamp, regardless of the diameter of the BS. The handle for the clamp is very large and easy to get a good grip to twist it down tight. The tip of the clamp has a flat surface, which makes it easy to get a good hold on the BS without having to align on the BS groove. The clamp also does not loosen or back-off once tightened. This all allows for minimal BS waste. The plastic material is very tough and holds up to gnawing that can happen after the BS is chewed down to the nub. It's a good size for my 65 lb. Lab to hold down with her paws when chewing the BS.#2 (ChewEasy [Light blue] - 4 stars): Similar to #1, and works well, but what I like less about it is that the round vs oval opening makes it not quite as easy as #1 to get the BS aligned with the clamp. Although, this might be preferrable if the BS's you buy are really large in diameter. The clamp handle is smaller, so not quite as easy to tighten down as #1. With the ends of the holder being smaller, they're also easier to gnaw on by the dog.#3 (BoniVet [Green] - 3 stars): This one has the advantage of being able to screw the tip of the clamp all the way through the other side of the holder, which does allow for a tight clamp. However, I found I didn't really like the pointy clamp tips as much as the flat ones (like #1 and #2). With the pointy tips, you have to get it aligned with the groove of the BS to get a good hold, and that is not always easy with smaller diameter BS's. The other thing I didn't like about this one is that even after the clamp was tightened, it sort of loosened on its own. The narrow plastic parts around the holder opening also seem susceptible to gnawing damage, although I haven't used it enough to say if it's a real problem.#4 (Bow Wow Labs [Dark blue] - 3 stars): This was actually the first style I bought, but there was enough I didn't like about it, that it caused me to look at the others. As mentioned with #3, I don't care for the pointy clamp tip. The round opening versus oval is less desirable for small BS's but may be needed for larger ones. The clamp itself does not screw in far enough to completely close the gap, so some of the smaller diameter BS could not be tightly clamped down, and my dog was able to get them out and swallow the BS nub.
