As a runner who uses prescribed orthotics, i need a good neutral shoe. Ive been a Brooks fan for years without issue. I have tried other brands here and there, but always come back...if you are serious about running, need a neutral shoe, and want to protect your feet, you found the right shoe...im guessing you already know that though.

As a Brooks Ghost 14 and 15 owner, I was looking forward to the Brooks Ghost 17 because of the reduced drop (10mm instead of 12mm). What I noticed immediately was that with the new design, I had a bit of heel slip when I first tried them on. But after a couple of wears, as long as I kick my heel to the ground before I tie these up, I can get a snug enough fit even with the standard lace configuration that it's not a problem.

Best training shoes for running I have ever owned. Comfortable on the foot and supportive for daily long training runs.

Very surprised how much I like it over the Ghost 16. Brooks really improved this model upgrade
