Das Vorgängermodell Brother ADS 2400N war ca. 3 Jahre im Gebrauch und hat fast 500.000 Scans verarbeitet. Eine Topleistung. Auch der ADS 4300N macht einen ähnlich guten Job. Eine Funktionen sind noch hinzugekommen wie Stromsparautomatik und das nervige Piepsen nach jedem Scan ist entfallen. Wenn er genauso lange hält wie der Vorgänger wäre es das Spitze.Vor allem im Netzbetrieb mit seinen 3 programmierbaren Speicherplätzen macht Ihn zu einem unverzichtbaren Arbeitsmittel.Insgesamt kann ich Ihn nur empfehlen. Ein Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Während das Vorgängermodell bei uns viele Jahre gut gearbeitet hat und auch nach wie vor seinen Dienst tut ist dieser Scanner eine einsame Katastrophe. Wir haben mehrere davon im Einsatz und alle haben die gleiche Macke. Ständig Fehlermeldung, scannt nicht, usw.Absoluter Rückschritt leider...

Das Produkt ist überpünktlich und heile angekommen. Es lässt dich problemlos einbinden. Man braucht etwas Zeit und ein paar Tests um die passenden Einstellungen zu setzten. Danach ist das Scannen einfach und schnell. Die Qualität der Scans ist hervorragend (zumindest am PC oder eigen konfigurierte Scans am Gerät). Die Android App ist leider alles andere als zufrieden stellend. Da ich aber den Scan primär über die Gerätetaste auslöse und auf einen SMB-share schreiben lassen trotzdem 5 Sterne!

Ich suchte einen Scanner mit Tasten, der direkt in ein Netzwerk speichern kann.Der Scanner erfüllt diese Voraussetzungen und arbeitet auch sehr schnell. Es werden Vorder- und Rückseiten problemlos gescannt und leere Seiten erkannt. Die automatische Trennung von Dokumenten klappt bei mir allerdings noch nicht.Was ich an dem Gerät aber kritisieren muss ist:- Der Einzug ist nur aufgesteckt und fällt leicht ab, z.B. wenn die Seitenbreite verändert wird.- Die Einrichtung der Tasten ist aufwendig und nicht intuitiv.Aber alles in allem ein gutes Gerät. Zur Scanqualität kann ich nichts sagen, da ich keine Vergleiche habe.

Nach dem Auspacken hast du einen super Dokumentenscanner. Ich habe mir diesen Scanner geholt weil ich oft Berge von Papier scannen muss. Man muss das Papier gut auffächern und dann geht es ruck zuck. Es gibt 4 Tasten die man programmieren kann. Dies ist einer der besten Scanner womit ich gearbeitet habe und ich bin zufrieden.

Wie müssen in der Hausarztpraxis viele Papierdokumente scannen und dieses Gerät auf den Schreibtisch zu stellen, hat die Arbeit enorm erleichtert, es nimmt wenig Platz ein und arbeitet gleichzeitig schnell und gut

Update:The good news: I succesfully scanned several thousands of pages using this scanner, greatly reducing the amount of paper in my office.There are however two problems:1) During the first year of use, openssh (via brew) was updated on my laptop, and I could no longer sftp directly to my laptop because the protocols supported by the scanner were no longer considered safe by openssh. I worked around this by sftp-ing to a docker container on my server that ran an older version of openssh, this was rather annoying. And AFAICT there has not been a firmware update for the scanner.2) The day before I had the scanner it would no longer turn on. I tested the powersupply which would only produce less than 1V of voltage (should be 24V). I contacted T&T (the supplier) and they first told me to contact Brother support and did no longer reply when I wrote them I had thought this to be a warranty case. Fortunately Amazon, after contacting them, offered to send back the whole machine (done) after which a restitution of the original price should be made (not yet happened).Not sure what to replace the unit with as I rather would have something without the the sftp problems.Original review:I bought this scanner to replace an aging MFC-6490CW printer/scanner combination. The old one runs with software for pre-2015 OS-es (in a Virtual Machine) and cannot do duplex. (The old one can do A3 scans, this one cannot).I selected this model for its wired ethernet, scanning to TIFF format and SFTP capabilities. It was delivered with DHL Express, within 15hrs of ordering. The packaging contains styrofoam, which is IMO not acceptable for a recently introduced product. Setting up the hardware is easy: snap in the feeder, connect the powersupply (24V DC). It comes with a USB3-A to USB3-B cable which I haven't used. The MAC-address and the password for the scanners internal webserver are on the back. I used the former to have my DHCP server provide a fixed IP address to the scanner, which made connecting the webserver easy. The webservers full functionality is only provided via https, and that requires the login (and accepting its self-signed certificate).Setting scanning to SFTP required a few retries, as the interface does allow e.g. allow you to start setting up the connection information even if there is no public ssh key available for any of the servers (which cannot be added in parallel, so you have to start all over again.So start with importing all your hosts; public ssh keys (RSA, DSA, but not ed25519) via network>security>server public key. Then generate the scanners key pair ( network>security>client key pair) and export its the public key and add it to the receiving accounts authorized_keys file. After that set all profiles that you want to configure (up to 25) to use SFTP using network>scan to FTP/SFTP/network.Then you can create profiles (network>Scan to FTP/SFTP/Network Profile) and specify where the results have to go (ssh/sftp server, account, path) and what format. Any three of the configured profiles can be assigned to the three buttons (these only light up when a profile is assigned). Additionally there are buttons to scan USB (but why is the port at the back of the machine?), and for scanning using the downloadable software (which I haven't). Although the scanner can email scanning reports and email notifications, it does **not** email scanned documents.I have scanned some slightly over 1000 pages the first day (mostly A4 and Letter size), and are very happy with the results and ease of use. You can mix page sizes, as long as everything lines up at the top before inserting. Only with very thin and smooth Letter size paper (less then 80gr) I had the scanner draw in multiple pages, detect that and stop. I could get these few pages scanned by adding the pages one at a time while the previous was being pulled in. Scanning is fast, skipping white (backside) pages reliable, and the duplex scanning without software trickery that I used on my old MFC is a win, both in comfort and speed.The only gripe I have is the difficulty to get clear specifications of the machines capapbilities. It doesn't email documents, which I had expected it could after reading about SMTP setup in the downloaded manual (that is not a problem for my usage though). What is a problem is that scanning to TIFF in non-lossy format (LZW) is not available at the highest resolution (600dpi). Since the scanner can be told to scan individual pages to individual files, and since it has 512Mb of internal memory, there is no technical reason not to allow 600dpi non-lossy scanning.After uploading using SFTP, I process the non-lossy TIFF to OCR-ed DjVu files, and had assume to get higher non-lossy resolution input than my old MFC scanner can provide (also 300dpi). These limitations are not clear from the documentation here on Amazon, not from the manufacturers website, nor from the manual.If you can live with the non-lossy scanning limitations, this scanner is certainly a recommendation.
