I love it. Was worried it wouldn’t be able to withstand weight of all of the chips, but it seems sturdy. Very slick design too. Looks great as a display piece. Very happy.

Smaller than I expected. Filled with 1000 11.5 gram claytec "dice" generic chips this thing has some weight to it. Feels solid... even with only two screws holding in the handle portion. Overall, pretty happy with it.

In my opinion, this is the only civilized way to store your chips. It uses the same clear trays of 100 chips that are used in every casino poker room, which both looks professional and helps you organize your different denominations of chips. It looks great, it's practical, and it's better than any home-game alternative.I've seen some questions and concerns regarding whether this is strong enough, and I'll admit, when you look at the black plastic handle part you wonder whether it will do the job. But I believe there is a metal frame inside that plastic, because it's plenty strong. I have loaded this thing completely full, 1000 chips, with the 14g Monte Carlo Poker Club chips, and carried it around with no problem. Those chips are about as heavy as you would possibly use; more expensive real clay chips are more like 9g each in the same volume. I have infinitely more confidence in this case holding up than I would with an aluminum case (which I also have) carrying 1000 heavy chips without busting a clasp or the handle. And this looks better. The only logistical issue I've run into with this case is that if you fill it up completely, there's not really a spot to carry decks of cards and a dealer button. That's only an issue if you are transporting it and want to carry everything easily, it's not as much of a problem at home. If you leave out one tray of chips (so carry 900), you can fit two boxes of cards and a button. If you leave out two trays (carrying 800), there is enough space to fit one of those plastic two-deck carrying cases that come with decent cards, along with a button. Or you can fill it up and carry your cards and button separately.Bottom line, if you are buying (or have) a set of 500 or more chips, this is the way to store them. Buy your chips in bulk without a case, and buy this case.

Received this last week. Loots great. Seems very sturdy and the acrylic is very thick (haven't measure it, I'm guessing maybe 1/4 inch thick), including the handle. Seems very reasonably priced. At first I thought it was overpriced for what it was until I priced out acrylic sheets myself. I don't think you could possibly come close to this price if you wanted to make one yourself.I have 1000 Tiki King ceramic chips @ 10g per chip. I'm not planning on traveling with the chips, so I think it is perfect for my needs. That is: protect my investment. If you are planning on using this case to transport your chips between games, then you may need to add some foam to protect the chips as you travel. There is space between the top of the chips and the case. So, I'm not sure what would happen when going over bumps in the road. If I were to travel with it, I'd likely put some foam between the top layer of chips and the case to prevent any damage to the chips from jostling around. Or you could put the foam on the bottom to cushion impacts and make the chips on the top sit flush to the case. Or some combination of both. Just some random thoughts on the matter...Some have noted that there is space for a deck of cards between the top layer of chips and the case. That is true only if your cards are the type you get from a grocery store that come in thin cardboard boxes. However, if you use Da Vince or Copag decks that come in thicker plastic cases, then there is not enough room. That said, I didn't buy this case expecting to carry my cards in it. So I didn't have any expectations that it should or would. It would be a nice added touch if a clear, acrylic card holder was built into the case.
