Made of a lightweight wood, this cake stand was easy to assemble following the Instructions on the video shown on the listing. Unfortunately the end result was not particularly stable despite dismantling the stand and redoing it again to make sure I had followed the instructions correctly. The foam gaskets were all positioned correctly with the metal one at the bottom as shown. Everything was tightened as much as it could possible be tightened, but still it wobbled. It is a shame as the stand looks nice when made up with an attractive handle and rubber stoppers on the bottom to ensure it sits firmly on the table. The stand can still be used and filled with cakes and sandwiches etc, but there is a wobble every time it is touched, so it is not really ideal. It is very disappointing.

Die Etagere kommt gut verpackt an. Die 3 runden Ebenen sind aus dickem Holz gefertigt und riechen auch gut danach. Das Holz hat eine wirklich tolle und individuelle Farbgestaltung, die die Etagere deutlich aufwertet. Sie ist sehr gut verarbeitet und glatt, man zieht sich also keine Splitter zu. Nur unten die Löcher sind nicht so gut gefeilt, aber das finde ich nicht weiter störend.Vor dem Gebrauch muss sie zusammengebaut werden, was schnell und intuitiv geht. Sie steht sicher und wackelt nicht. Wegen des Holzes ist sie auch ordentlich schwer, das sollte man wissen. Wenn man möchte kann man sie auch nur ein- oder zweistöckig aufbauen.Die Etagere bietet ordentlich Platz und man kann sehr hübsch Essen darauf anrichten. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und kann sie empfehlen.

This is a really attractive 3-tier cake stand which looks as nice in real life as it does in the images on the listing; I really liked the colour of the wood plates. I found it very easy to assemble; despite there being no instructions provided (not that they are even necessary). Once assembled it was solid and steady and didn't wobble which I was very impressed with (I was expecting it to wobble after reading the other UK review). I imagine this will look really nice whether you are buying one to use in the home, for photography purposes for showcasing your own baking, or even several for use in a retail setting such as a cafe or a cake shop. The sizes of the plates are good - definitely suitable for afternoon tea sized portions.
