Seine einzige Funktion besteht darin, Schmutz, Sand oder Spritzwasser von der Frontlinse fernzuhalten. Das besonders klare Spezialglas mit hoher Transmission ist nur mit der Mehrschichtvergütung B+W MRC (BASIC Line) bzw. B+W MRC nano (MASTER Line) erhältlich. Die hydrophobe Vergütung mindert die Haftneigung von Schmutzpartikeln und Wassertropfen. Great addition to my x100vi camera. Good coating, no reflections or ghosting when shooting night scenes unlike with other specific brand I tried.

Der Filter lässt sich leicht, ohne sich zu verkeilen, auf das Objektiv aufschrauben und auch wieder entfernen.Habe keine negative Auswirkungen auf die Bildqualität bemerkt.

Der Schutzfilter soll mein objektiv schützen – und das tut er, soweit es ihm möglich ist. Und das Gute ist: Es ist nicht zu merken, dass er sich vor dem Objektiv befindet.

B+W has always been my go to filter. I’ve noticed recent reviews talking about the cloth pouch replacing the original hard case. Their reviews reflected the case and not the filter itself.When my filter arrived, it came with a leather pouch. It was in perfect condition and I really liked the knurled material on the outer ring.Will I miss the hard case? Sure, but I’m not going to ding the company for doing that. Especially since I’ve relied on their filters for all these years. Besides, this leather ouch provides a classy touch.I haven’t tested the new nano coating and will report back if there are any issues.It’s a B+W filter at its finest. There’s no degradation in image quality and the filter itself feels top notch. (Like all of the others I’ve purchased.)If a hard case is important to you, then there are other brands out there to choose from. I’m going to stick with B+W.

So now we sadly have yet another dumbed down product. The team at B+W need to get a grip .. Instead of the familiar snap case we have a cheap and nasty bag that leaves bag-dust-particles on the filter every time you withdraw it from the bag. Luckily I have spare cases so the bag can go in the bin.
