Very useful for cutting glass. Helps in cutting straight lines and measuring. It's well made and will last me for years.

As others have mentioned, the grid tray does it's job but it is strange that it doesn't connect to anything. Some glass workers will connect them to use as a work surface and this waffle board isn't capable of that. It did what I needed to but I had to carefully position my large pieces while cutting. It is not slip resistant and I would want to anchor it better for my next use.

It's okay, but it's not really useful as more than the 12x12" cutting tray with grid that it is. What do I mean by that? Well, this seems to be an item that was designed to replicate a brand name tool; however, this one does not have the ability to hook to other pieces to create a larger grid for cutting bigger pieces of glass.This tool is a grid which has little places along the edge that can hook to other grid pieces, so if you got 4 of these you could hook the grids together to have a 2x2' square of grids or a 1x4' strip of grid; however, the tray that catches the glass bits would be rendered useless if you attempted to hook the pieces together.The tray that holds the grid is a 1/8" thick piece of acrylic with a border made of the same white acrylic glued onto the edges. This is fine if you only need the 12x12" grid. The tray will collect your shards of glass and you can pull the grid out to dump out the crumbs of glass. It is possible for the edges to break apart from the base at some point because it is melted together, but I believe it seems very sturdy and will likely not break.The true functionality of the brand name tool like this is that it has tools that go with the grid that help to break your glass. This does not have a cutting tool which is compatible with the grid, nor does it have the little balls which help to place pressure on and break larger pieces of scored glass. You could use marbles maybe and it would make this a cost effective way to avoid paying for the brand name tool. As-is, this is lacking anything special and missing the mark on the real purpose of a grid for cutting stained glass. The price is very similar to the original, but there are no accessories to go along with the grid. Scoring and cutting glass on the grid is not really functional. It does a great job of catching chipping pieces, but that's about it, unfortunately.

I make very small stained glass projects like window sun catchers and plant stakes. I really like this little glass cutting grid. The grid pops out of the tray for easier cleaning too or for emptying the tiny shards a bit easier. Functions as I anticipated it would. Even though I make small projects, a larger size would be nice because I have some bigger sheets of glass to cut down for my small projects. I’ll use this small grid for refining. Seems sturdy, good build quality. White is a good color to see the glass shards best.

I'm new to stained glass art and was looking for something to catch the little pieces of glass during cutting. This does the job!Since I'm new to the hobby I don't have much to compare it to, but it serves its purpose well and is exactly as described in the listing. All of the little glass shards and pieces that would have ended up on the floor (and inevitably being stepped on) are caught in a little waffle dips. If you're looking for something simple that gets the job done, I definitely recommend this
