I used to wear uglies but in Irish weather (rain) they become heavy and cumbersome, I walk 10k when it is too dirty to cycle which is becoming months in Ireland, these are comfortable and perfect for walking, the waist cord has rubber embossing which means it stays tied and there is no Canterbury sag.
