Use on a 3 hour each way road trip, and it exceeded all expectations. It was completely waterproof, keeping our belongings dry even during heavy rain. The storage capacity was impressive—it held more than I initially thought possible. After removing it, there were no permanent marks or scratches on the car’s roof, which was a huge relief. Overall, it’s a durable, spacious, and reliable solution for extra storage on trips. Highly recommend!

I don't have any sort of roof bars so getting a box would of been £££ decided to give this ago for £50 was quite sceptical of how secure it would be but it's done 2 holidays now since we became a family of 5 and it's perfect, we use Ikea's black and white bags instead of suitcases and it fits 6 perfectly with pillows and blankets on top! I try and get as much soft items up there as possible to free up room in the boot for food fridge. It's not disappointed high motorway speeds no problem rain no problem. If your looking for a less permanent holiday car expansion look further!!

This product is fantastic. I only have a small car and have just got into camping so decided to get this roof bag to put all of our soft items in. It wasn’t even anywhere near full and we had a 4 man tent, 3 sleeping bags, 2 pillows, 1 duvet, 1 large coat, a dog bed and 4 dog blankets in it and had lots of room leftover.I couldn’t remove my internal beading on the door frame to attach the straps that came with it but I’d bought 3 ratchet straps and used them instead. We also pulled the straps, that are attached to the bag, inside the car doors so that they were trapped in the car.I drove 3 hours on the motorway and the bag never budged.I’m extremely happy with this purchase as we can get everything need in the car to go camping and I would definitely recommend it.

We really needed a roof box as a family of 4 trying to pack travel cot, buggy etc. but lack space in the shed. This was the perfect solution. This is the smaller one on a seat ateca. My husband is a worrier so we did get roof bars too to have something extra to secure it to. He did the whole pack it in a bit of a wedge shape as suggested in the instructions. He secured all the straps so they couldn’t blow about. Didn’t hear it at all on the 350 miles each way. Was a bit drizzly both ways but everything stayed dry. Much cheaper than a roof box and folds up pretty small. Downside I guess is needs a bit of set up time and you need to clean off the dead flies before packing it up. Very happy with our purchase.

After running out of space in my car to transport a large tent and everything else (incl. the kitchen sink) for a couple of weeks camping, I decided to get this roof bag after reading several positive reports on a camping forum. I did not want the extra expense of having to buy & fit roof bars to my car, so a roof bag was a much cheaper, better and easier solution to my car storage issues. My car has roof rails, and there was no problem fitting the clips, straps and bag to my car. I am so glad I chose Marretoo as the bag looks and feels really solid. The car frame clips were quite difficult to fix to the car, but I managed it and easily refitted the door seals over the clips. In fact, I've decided to leave the clips and hooks on my car (with hooks tucked inside) having heard others suggest the same without any problems. The 15l bag seems huge, I only part filled it (with mostly soft items), but it stayed solid the whole journey (~100 miles), thanks to the large non-slip mat and 3 sets of securing straps. I had read that the straps make 'knocking' noises at speed, but overcame this by twisting the straps before securing them, which eliminated any noise at all. Packing the bag was easy enough, though I’d advise mounting the bag on the car roof first, then fill the bag on the car – tall person or step stool / ladders needed. The 2 zips made packing and unpacking the bag really easy, and the instructions were good and helpful. The bag did not move in transit, and the contents were 100% protected and dry on arrival after driving through some rain. I didn't think I’d be able to pack it back into its carry bag, but it does pack down quite small again for storage. I can’t comment on the locks for the zips as I've not tried them yet. I’m looking forward to using this bag again for many more years camping trips. I definitely recommend this roof bag.
