This restored our Roomba's ability to dock reliably. Perhaps for that I should give it 5 stars.Note that the parts are not exactly identical to the originals - there was an extra alignment tab which may or may not work on all models. The instructions could also be better. Still, with some care and ordinary screwdrivers it wasn't that bad to install.In the case of our Roomba I believe that the original sensor itself was fine. The problem was that the clear plastic "turret" was badly scratch so that the light to the sensor was distorted. Fortunately this comes with a new turret and sensor, so it was fixed either way.

For the most it works. My roomba now returns to the base, but sometimes it gets lost first. No biggie, it eventually gets there.

Our roomba would not dock no matter where we moved home base in our house. It was infuriating and driving me insane. I was considering buying a new home base or a whole new roomba altogether but decided to start small. Luckily this was enough to fix my issue and Randy is now able to dock himself again. Yay!
