I have three submersible pumps that are solar-powered creating a small waterfall on our koi pond on the Big Island of Hawaii. Iʻve tried filter boxes and filter bags, but itʻs a tangle of tubes and bags. This allows three pumps to function with good water flow and itʻs easier to clean when it needs it. This box went together quickly and fits tightly into the bag which is sown perfectly to create a taut perimeter filter box. I recommend this if your garden pond depth is at least a foot or more.

I get some debris in my pond despite the net so I put my pumps in a bag. Unfortunately at some point the bag gets covered with debris and closes around the pump intake. I try to keep it clean but, you know, life. Anyway this keeps my pump intake clearer longer while still keeping out debris. I do worry a little about fish fry getting into it but then again my koi and goldfish think they are rabbits so I can afford to lose a few! No instructions for assembly but if you cannot figure it out, well, Bless Your Heart. I feel the price is fair.
