Before ordering these, I took my son to a sports store to try on multiple Kids XL and Adult S to find the best fit. Adult S was what he was most comfortable with so we ordered here for the price. The quality of the product looked nice but the size was more of a kids large. The tag did say Adult S and I returned these and bought him a pair at a used sports store. Coincidentally, that used store had these same pants in an Adult S which looked the same as my order. I thought that was worth mentioning to show their size is consistent.I suggest ordering a size up but my son is at an awkward stage and between sizes.

Good quality pants with strong flexible and smooth material as well as proper placement of protective padding (including at the top of the waist in the back by the lower part of your back/spine.Sadly my son ended up having to trade his pair with another teammate bc he is very tall and slim and this pair didn't come down to his knees. It did however fit the other more average proportionly-sized kid perfectly. And he too loved the pants.

This was listed as the top item in the 'American Football > Boys > Pants" section. The in-seam stated that it is 28". Champro sizing guide shows that 28" waist would be a Youth Medium, and that in-seam is not a unit of measure on their items. Once ordered, an Adult Large showed up, and is far too big.
