Ein außergewöhnlicher Stift, der durch einen fantastischen Grip und eine tolle, fast kokonähnliche Ergonomie ein tolles Schreibbild abgibt. Ich habe mehrere Pen's dieser Art und bin begeistert von diesem Stift. Die Haptik ist ein Traum. Die Mine ist jetzt nicht das Beste was es am Markt gibt, aber trotzdem besser, als so manche andere und leicht ersetzbar. Zudem ist der Pen sehr robust und perfekt als Kubotan geeignet. Trotzdem sieht er wie ein normaler Schreiber aus. Die Beschichtung ist angenehm rau und bietet guten Halt, ähnlich dem Gerber Impromptu. Der Stift ist auch sehr leicht und fällt auch in einem Sakko nicht auf.Den Preis finde ich angemessen, da die Verarbeitung sehr gut ist. CRKT bemüht sich, wieder mehr Qualität in seine Produkte zu bringen und das Billigimage abzulegen. Auch bei den zuletzt erworbenen Messern habe ich ein sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis festgestellt. Wer solche Pen's mag, der macht damit keinen Fehler. Ich wüsste jetzt nicht, was ich an dem Stift bemängeln sollte, daher 5Sterne.

Given as a gift for a security professional that needs low profile items like this on the job.He loved it!My only complaint from my personal experience and preferences;The cap has a (estimated) 45° slant, making it uncomfortable on the thumb if you use it for purchase.Not a deal breaker, as it can be modified, just a bit of an annoying oversight on this particular item.

Way too thick and barely writes, have to shake the friggin thing before it can be used. I do not recommend

If you're looking for a tactical pen that is subtle instead of screaming, "TACTICAL", this is the one for you. I've used it in professional settings without it attracting attention - to the casual observer, it looks like a regular pen. That said, it appears very capable of packing a blow when used for defense. I fortunately haven't had to use it in that regard, but taking jabs at some wood showed it will inflect damage. I was worried its smooth surface would slip in my hand, but I was able to hold it steady.Some don't like the slanted angle of the cap and at first I was skeptical of it, but I now prefer it as it gives an additional striking surface that, while not as damaging as the point, will still inflict pain. I also have a S&W tactical pen with a flat head on the cap, and while it's a bit more comfortable when pressed against the palm when punching, it's still gonna hurt some. My guess is if I ever do use this pen as a self-defense weapon, I'll be holding it in a grip perpendicular with my fingers and my thumb on the cap. The cap seals tight both closed and when writing and the clip seems strong. Like all of these pens, a slight drawback to those who want something low-key is that the makers tend to put their names on the clip, which is a big reason I don't like carrying a pen with "Smith & Wesson" showing. CRKT is less well-known, but it is stamped on the clip. Still, that's a minor drawback for an otherwise very solid pen.
