Quite possibly the most useless product I bought on Amazon. After looking for a ski lock, I found this one to be recommended by several websites, so I bought it on Amazon. The second time I used it, the lock got jammed and there was no way to unlock it. After trying for nearly half an hour, luckily I somehow managed to pull out my skis, and the damn thing was left locked on a ski rack in the Alps. My advice: avoid throwing away your money on this nonsense.

So the pros are it is super light and easy to use and will at least give you some peace of mind that you have secured them while you enjoy a beer.That said I am tempted to see if my 7" pocket wire cutters would slice right through the cable.But hopefully it would just make some difference at least from someone accidentally walking off with your stuff and maybe if there is a group where you can tether your gear together that might also add to the deterrent factor.

Tut seinen Zweck, sicher nur so lange, bis jemand eine stärkere Zange dabei hat. Aber die "erste Gelegenheit zum Diebstahl" wird dadurch sicher verhindert. Ich nutze das Schloß für mein Skateboard.

Zunächst war ich positiv von dem DAKINE Schloss überrascht, da dies kompakt und sicher erschien. Jedoch nach dem 5 mal auf der Skipiste funktionierte das Schloss schon nicht mehr und ging nicht mehr auf! Glücklicherweise konnten wir unsere Skier aus dem Draht einzeln herauswurstlen, da wir dieses nicht allzu eng gebunden hatten. Keine Empfehlung daher von mir.

Wir haben das Schloss für einen Kinderroller gekauft. Es wird wahrscheinlich keinen Dieb abschrecken, aber hält davon ab, den Roller einfach mal mitzunehmen oder umzuparken. Dafür erfüllt es seinen Zweck und den eigenen Code einzustellen ist kinderleicht. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für die doch recht simple Verarbeitung, man sollte das Schloss nicht allzu sehr strapazieren.

... kann so ein dünnes Stahlkabel natürlich nicht bieten. Verwende es für meinen Scooter wenn ich z.B, in der Arbeit zu Mittag in ein Lokal fahre und ihn nicht mit hinein nehmen will. Es muss der Zufall schon mitspielen wenn dann dort gerade jemand mit einem Seitenschneider oder anderem Werkzeug vorbeikommt. Denn vor Dieben ohne Werkzeug denke ich mal ist dieses Schloss dann doch ein Hindernis.

Love this! My son's skis were taken just last week from the slopes. Never had this happened before. We are convincing ourselves that this was a case of mistaken identity of skis, rather than believe that people would be so mean and thoughtless on the slopes.Nevertheless, this little beauty will ensure this NEVER happens again.My son is 14 and belongs to the ski club at his school - every ski parent should give their child one of these. I do not ski myself...but I imagine this would ensure those skiers with really nice, expensive skis that their skis would still be outside on the rack when they returned from a break inside. The minute we received this and tested it out, set the combo , my son simply said , "Awesome". Superhero mom of the day.It is tiny - and strong. Perfect for the pockets of a ski coat without adding bulk.As soon as this incident happened I started looking for a ski lock - this fits the bill.100% highly recommend based on quality and performance.
