I was interested in this body camera for very specific reason, and it involved using the IR filter for night time recording. The first thing that I'll note about the IR filter is that it seems to have a very specific focal point, and doesn't illuminate the entire scene. It has extremely strong vignetting in the corners which makes it a bright point that is circular in the center of the frame. To be honest, the video quality is less than impressive. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing, but I have security cameras that I paid $20.00 for that have better resolution. The image is very noisy, and the overall quality is just poor. Now, if all you want is a recording of a scene, then oftentimes video quality is not really the most important thing, though you would expect it to be decent at this point in 2024. Like I said, I have older security cameras that take better video. The image quality of the camera in good lighting is just as unimpressive. It's kind of a niche product that may have its uses in some instances, like wearing it on your person if you are in law enforcement or something like that, but I think there probably are better options out there. I understand that it doesn't cost very much, but my preference would be to pay a little bit more to have a better result. I think I would be a lot less harsh on my review if one fact had been true about the claims that they make. It is claimed that the camera will record continuously for up to 10 hours on a single charge. That I can assure you is way off. I used it for continual recording overnight, and it lasted for just about four hours. After that it died, and of course recorded nothing. To me, that is way off of what the claims are, and awfully disappointing. I suppose if you were in a pinch and you just need something to record whatever it is that you need it for, you could probably get away with this camera. That being said, I guarantee you that regardless of whatever type of phone you have, your phone will do a better job. Of course, your phone doesn't have an IR filter, and may not be able to record continuously for that long depending on what your storage capacity is, but I was only able to get a maximum of four hours out of this. If that's good enough for you, maybe you'll be interested in it, but I was hoping that it would record for at least 8 hours, since it claims that it'll do it for 10. I can't in good conscience recommend this camera, and overall I was very disappointed.
