I leave this in my trunk and it jingles occasionally as I drive around, but it reminds me of how awesome this chain is.The chain is crazy heavy, and the cloth wrapper around the chain is actually thicker (padded?) than I expected. I don't feel concerned sliding it through the bike frames (although I still baby it, just in case).It wraps around the bikes, and then through another cable lock that I just leave securing my bike rack to the vehicle. The giant circle makes it easy to thread the end of the chain through and attach a single lock (I use the giant disc padlock).I feel completely comfortable walking away from my bikes into a store/restaurant while on the road

I am using this lock to secure my rear gate and feel this lock and chain will last for years. From the moment you take it out of the box, you know you have a quality chain and lockset. The material should stand up to the elements with little concern and feel confident that it will be broken once on without severe effort and power tools.

This is one heavy duty lock & chain. After having three locked bicycles stolen I was hoping to find something that would be tougher to cut through and this looks to be just the ticket. The chain appears to be very strong and is covered with a durable non abrasive cloth. The cover has snaps to keep it from moving out of place which will go a long way to protect the paint on my bike. The body of the lock looks solid, feels smooth and appears to be beautifully machined. The key operation is positive but effortless. The shackle is designed to be very short but thick which is exactly what I was looking for. It comes in a nice little carry bag too.

The actual lock is junk my key broke off on the inside of lock, I absolutely hate the way the lock functions I hate you have to leave the key inside while you unlock it besides that the chain is perfect.
