I’m quite impressed with this simple but effective aerator. There isn’t much that can go wrong with this piece of kit and it looks sturdy enough to see a few seasons out. My compost bins (330 ltr) were full when I used it and it did take a bit of muscle to push it through to the bottom of the bin... and out again, that being said, with a less full bin, I can see the task being a lot easier.Very pleased with this purchase.

I only have a smallish compost bin, 100 ltrs or so and this device helps me to aerate it well. It could be sturdier but at this price point it's good value. Don't get me wrong though, it is sturdy enough to get the job done.

Easy to put together - just the T handle to fix together with a couple of provided nuts and bolts. It's easy to use if you are quite strong - the forks do grab hold of quite a lot of material which needs to be pulled through the compost to the top before it will let go. I made the mistake of putting a lot of twiggy branches in the bottom of my compost heap (as recommended in a book) and the aerator grabs them and they have to be pulled right through to remove them - don't make the same mistake when starting your heap! It works fine in my large plastic compost bin too, though the handle only just fits in. It not only aerates the compost but really mixes the old and new together, along with the worms and bugs that actually turn the waste into garden compost. I wish I'd bough it a few years ago!

es muy simple, pero muy efectivo, se clava muy bien sin hacer mucha fuerza, y se tira para arriba moviendo todo el compo, para que se mezcle bien, y fuerte, no creo que se rompa facilmente, muy buen producto como e dicho. un 10

Ich nutze den Kompost-Belüfter, um die kleinen Helferlein in meinem Thermokomposter immer mal wieder zu mehr Mitarbeit anzuregen.Die Anwendung ist leicht und selbsterklärend. Ein Sternchen Abzug gibt es aber, weil sich die Flügel immer wieder so mit Kompost zusetzen, dass man sie manuell reinigen muss. Da kommt man aber auch nicht drumherum: Macht man es nicht, klappen die Flügel nicht richtig ein und man kann nicht tief in den Kompost eintauchen. Das kann schon etwas nervig werden, sollte der Kompost mal etwas zu feucht geraten sein.
