I purchased and wit very little force just turning the locks on HDD both keys snapped off in first use. Purchased ones from synology and after picking broken part out worked fine.

I wanted to try these on my DS1512+ and compare to the OEM keys. See the first pic, the nub appears larger than OEM but I used it multiple times and had no problem with it.These are 3D printed plastic whereas my originals are metal. I don’t see how that’d be an issue unless you chose to carry them on a keyring in your pocket where they might get beat up. I placed them in my safe where they’re likely to be used once every few years, if that.

I don't understand some of the negative reviews about it being plastic. The original keys that came with mine from synology were plastic. These fit and work just fine. This time I'm leaving them in so they are just levers instead of keys.

The key book the first time I used it, fortunately it did't work to lock the drive and I was able to get the broke bit out. The key is made from all plastic and is too weak to actually work. Garbage....
