This filter is of high quality. It threads on to the lens smoothly and securely, and the glass seems to be substantial enough to not be too fragile for daily use.Amateur photographers would do well to read up on techniques for infrared photography and camera settings to get the most out of this filter. It's my first infrared filter, so it is taking me some time to get used to settings for white balance and dynamic range to achieve the types of photos I've seen others share.As far as I can tell, this is effectively limiting the wavelengths to those in the infrared, so it does what it claims to do.
