Borrar i plåt utan att hugga, och verkar hålla skärpan.Och när man vill borra lite större hål än de 10 eller 13 mm som en normal chuck kan ta, så är detta räddningen.

Tested it today upon arriving. Drilled few holes in aluminum and iron square tube and holes are great. Exit side has even better finish than entry side. Watched ProjectFarm youtube test where Imperial sized version of this bit destroyed competition and i hope metric will be at least half as good.

habe ein paar dünne Bleche damit gelocht, danach war das Teil genauso scharf wie zuvor.

A lovely step drill bit from Dewalt.I chose Dewalt after watching the comparison videos on YouTube.Have a look at 'Which Step Drill Bit Is Best' by Project Farm.The bit itself comes in Dewalt packaging (Photo 1).It's titanium coated, and has 2 twisted cutting flutes.I personally think this really helps in speed of cutting, and also with keeping the cutter from fouling up when drilling.It has a hexagonal shaft which I much prefer to a straight shaft, not only will normal drills have a tighter grip of the shaft, it also means that it will fit straight into an impact driver.Dewalt have especially made these bits so that they can happily be used in impact drivers.I've used it mainly on plastic electrical boxes so far, and it unsurprisingly rips through them, with the added bonus of being self-deburring.They also make great counter-sinkers too.I did try it on some mild steel, just to see what it was like.At a slow speed and with plenty of downforce, it tore through it.Very impressive.Although this is sold as 14mm-25mm, it will happily drill holes from 8mm upwards.Each drill step is 5mm in height, so remember, that is the maximum thickness of the material you can use to get a straight through hole, unless you want a 25mm hole, in which case the depth of material is only restricted by your drill chuck.If you think step drills are rubbish, because like me, you'd only used the cheap Chinese ones, then I reckon that using this will change your mind.Yes, it isn't cheap, but the steel it's made from is extremely high quality, and with its many uses, including de-burring and counter-sinking, I feel makes it well worth the money.Recommended.I hope you found this review helpful.
