All stripping tools are not the same. Bare fingers, finger cots, stripping knives, stripping stones - I suppose they all have their place and advocates. I'm a normal pet owner, amateur groomer just trying to keep my dog's coat tidy and healthy. I've tried a variety of different tools, but stripping stones are the easiest for me. And I've tried a variety of stones, but these are the best. Some are too dusty and kind of make a mess in your hand. Some seem too dense (pores too tight) and don't really offer a good grip. These are coarse enough to help you really grip the hair easily.I have two wirecoated breeds. A friend has a spaniel and was complaining that she had great difficulty with stripping (who even knew they stripped them???). I guess they strip the top of the head and back or something? I don't really know, but I did give her one of these stones, and the next time I saw her, she was gushing that she FINALLY mastered stripping her dog - and it was the result of this stone.

This stripping stone is brilliant for stripping my Welsh terrier. It is so much better and easier than other stripping equipment I have used in the past.I am able to do every part of my dogs coat with this stripping stone. In addition compared to other stripping stones and combs it is very affordable and long lasting.I would highly recommend this stripping stone. Even if you’ve never used a stripping stone before it’s well worth a try at this great price.
